As I recall
[Show spoiler]they both die alone in their dotage, never having any kids. Makes me wonder how JLaw and Crisp Ratt's characters were selected to colonize a planet as they didn't seem to understand the mission requirements .

I recall some talk of dark fancanon that the flaws with the "freezer" that caused Laurence Fishburne to kick the bucket had also sterilized the main characters, but I don't recall the movie supporting that strongly.

I concur it's worth supporting as one of the few domestic 4K+3D releases.

You need "watch" the movie! Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence were NOT selected to colonize a planet. He was an engineer (blue collar worker); She was wealthy, and they didn't know each other before coming out of the sleep pods. It sounds like you came up with your synopsis from only watching the movie trailer (not to mention, you butchered his name. Auto-correct?, LOL)!

No, "Crisp Ratt" was intentional

The film is on my list to rewatch in 3D, but I didn't care for the ending of the film, to me it was a tragedy.

If Passengers is a tragedy then Dredd is a love story. We definitely didn’t see the same movie, but it’s ok if you didn’t like it, a lot of people didn’t.

I'm not sure I'm following you on that one . From what i recall, the ending of Passengers was like the well-heeled couple at the beginning of Idiocracy.

Dredd is likely my next watch, especially after the glowing praise it got here. I should have already seen it, but I let experimenting with gaming in 3D suck up my watch time.

Watched Monster Hunter (German edition) last night. The 3D was very good, and I enjoyed the movie. Note that you must go into the menu and select English unless you want to hear the movie in German.

But... in my opinion the Chinese influence on this film made for some moments that should not have been included; little things that may appeal to Chinese audiences but have no place in an otherwise serious movie.

Watched A Xmas Carol. A great adaption with excellent 3D, it hard to imagine it's Disney. Highly recommended, for the Holiday.

Edit: Snow fell on my pants 10 ft. away! This was a hard find and expensive, but so worth it.

The irony is the male lead actor is Thai and the joke on Chi-knees got the movie pulled off from theaters and circulation in China.

Yeah, not to mention $80 for Black Widow! At the time seemed like a lot. Hard to find a lot more expensive now kinda like bitcoin.

$65 for Valerian? Was it some sort of ultra-primo LE?

I am in the middle of again watching Monster Hunter minus the last two letters (meaning it's Monster HUNT lol).

The 3d depth and popouts come across surprisingly well considering I'm viewing it on the 3D video wizard. Can only imagine what it would look like on my actual 3D monitor now that it's recalibrated.

The dubbing is bad but the film does have its moments of real outlandish humor. Recommended

I have come to accept the fact I may never own Black Widow.

Need to be stern on $65 max for myself or I'd know I'd be opening a pandora's box if I go over.

I had 3 titles that went max $65 -- Valerian, and the combo SharkBoy/SpyKids which I got for $130 (average of $65).

Back then it was the only one with the box cover AND the English audio. Not sure if there are any that came out after with either a slipcover or box cover that is cheaper and has the English audio.

At 70 , I'm finally learning to never say never, I don't have your fortitude. You can always buy the 2D and convert.

I'd rather not. Especially with my eyes not as good as they once were.
