Meet Talon, a daring mercenary who conquers castles and dungeons alike with his lethal three-bladed sword. But when Talon learns that he is the prince of a kingdom controlled by an evil sorcerer, he is thrust into the wildest fight of his life. Can Talon rescue the beautiful princess and slay the warlock, or will he fall prey to the black magic of medieval mayhem? I've been wanting this on BD for years now.

Interesting thing about this film is that unlike most cult films from the era, this one was actually a big mainstream success at the box office with almost $40 million. $114 million adjusted for inflation. Pretty damn impressive when you look at the other films it had to compete with during it's run: Conan the Barbarian, Rocky III, Road Warrior, Wrath of Khan, Poltergeist, E.T., Firefox, Blade Runner, The Thing, Tron, An Officer and a Gentleman, Porkys, Chariots of Fire...

Man look at that line up of movies ! 1982 was perhaps the best year for movies in the 80’s

Yep, I remember this movie being a big hit, and there were some critics out there who liked it, too. The year 1982 was great to be 13-14 years old and a movie fan.

I don't normally spring for the posters, but I might have to make my second exception of the year after The Howling...

I've had the DVD in my Amazon cart several times in the $30 range. Patience pays off. Be cool if they could offer a tri-sword letter opener bonus or something.

Haven't seen this and was waiting for a Blu-ray for quite some time now.

Will order the 4K UHD.

Same here, even considered the pan & scan Laserdisc (mostly for the cover art). Just preordered from Shout for that awesome poster.

Perhaps my ultimate 80s fantasy fantasy is a Conan/Destroyer/Red Sonja 4K triple pack. . .

I broke down and re-purchased a copy of the DVD about 6 months ago (my old copy was stolen nearly a dozen years ago), figuring this would never see the light of day on Blu-ray, let alone 4K.

Not complaining about having to re-buy this title, it's honestly more than I could have expected....
