Nearly 3 years between seasons. Is that some sort of record?

They may as well pitch it as a new fresh start. They've slapped on a subtitle, time to treat it like a new show with this wait lol.

Then again, Stranger Things won't be back till 2022 either. So it'll be a similar situation.

It’s the Adult Swim scheduling which was originally created by the BBC.

I was thinking the subtitle could be due to switching from Fox to Hulu, and with such a long wait.

I wonder if Seth MacFarlane is now bald, like Patrick Stewart.

Great news, I can't wait!

Now please bring Orville to Blu-ray! A modern high definition effects-heavy science fiction show should not be on DVD

Also the subtitle is dumb... like when seaQuest got a new subtitle-type name for its third season.

It should also be on 4k Blu-ray with really good Dolby Atmos tracks... unlike the Prime Trek franchise it is honoring.

We'd be lucky if we got it on BD at all since it was from the 2nd worst TV on BD studio, only to be bought out by the rock bottom worst TV on BD studio lol

Only WB supports TV on 4K, the only exception is Stranger Things.

I liked this show, but I guess season 2 is as far as I go, now that its off of Fox. Even if we eventually get an internet service capable of supporting streaming, I doubt I would ever pay for a streaming service. Of course though we all said that back in the late 70s when Cable TV and HBO were first being introduced to us - "not going to pay to watch tv!!"
So here is to hoping it one day gets on blu-ray, but I'm running out of years to wait for all this to ever drop to blu-ray. Not holding my breath.

Disney has no f--king clue that they COULD have a Star Trek killer on their hands with The Orville if the style and wit and warmth and humor can continue. Especially since new Trek is on shaky ground with fans as it has been savaged by its new show runners and Viacom execs.

Not in Red Dwarf’s case. Four years elapsed between VI & VII. It was then cancelled by the BBC after VIII.

Yeah. Doctor Who was cancelled in 1989 and a new series with the same name premiered in 2005 that used the same continuity and featured the same main character.
