The studio quality PCM and DTS-HD Master sound tracks are too good of quality on some titles. When there is a movie with a very good sound track and a scene in the movie with glass breaking I have seen good quality speakers set off alarm systems that use glass breakage detection. Some times the alarm system needs to be turned off while watching a movie that has a scene with glass breaking.

Glass breakage detectors listen for the sound of breaking glass. It is very logical that if the speakers and sound track are good enough quality and the movie has a lot of glass breaking in it the alarm system will be set off. Anyone with a glass breakage detector on their alarm system can experience this by playing a movie with a lot of glass breaking. For example playing chapter 33 of Dare Devil Director's Cut will set off the glass breakage detector on the alarm system when the DTS-HD Master audio track is played. This issue only happens when I am playing certain movies with PCM or DTS-HD Master audio tracks.

What happens, if you play a (level matched) lossy track from the same disc?

I played the DTS-HD Master audio track degraded to the core track of lossy which I think is still 1.54MB per second (Double the bit rate used for DVD movies with a DTS sound track). The core lossy DTS track for the same title also set off the glass breakage detector. I have not had a DVD title set off the glass breakage detector so far, only some BLU-RAY titles. The way the glass breakage detector works on some alarm systems is that it listens for broken glass. For example if I were to hold a glass of water in my hand and then decided to drop it on the kitchen floor the glass would break and set off the alarm. Same issue happens to me on certain BLU-RAY titles with very realistic glass breakage scenes.
