Default Film franchises you think should continue

Which currently dormant film franchise do you think deserves to be picked up again for another movie or series of movies?

I'd love another 300 movie after the first 2. Rise of an Empire did pretty good at the BO.

Also another Woman in Black movie, i thought the first 2 were excellent.

The SnyderVerse (it can be counted as it's own sub-franchise under the DCEU imo)

The SnyderVerse. Or at least I'd like to see Zack's Justice League 2 & 3. I want to see him complete his 5 film plan that he originally started with. Even if WB is allegedly planning to reboot their DC Universe, I'm optimistic that Zack will still get to finish his story. It just might take a few more years of DC screwing up.

Another Snake Plissken film. With Kurt Russell as Snake. No remake.

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4.

Assuming they’re all done well, then…

The Creature from the Black Lagoon (and no, I don’t count The Shape of Water)

Planet of the Apes (the original series done with actors in prosthetics)

Stargate

The Land That Time Forgot

The Lord of the Rings. We had a prequel trilogy, now we need a sequel trilogy. Maybe get JJ Abrams to direct the first one and get it off to a good start. That guy always delivers.

Pretty much all my favorite stuff has continued. The only series I can think of would be House (1986). There’s 4 but only 1 and 4 are sort of in continuity.

Someone mentioned a long time ago they could link together the first 2 mansions since they both had doorways to other places. Always thought that was an interesting idea.

It’s said the house plays on your fears and knew everything about Roger Cobb. That’s why all the monsters were his personal “demons”. So you could have someone else move in to get a whole new set of hauntings.

The original mansion still exists. It some kind of monument so it’s available. The mansion/castle from part 2 also still exists. It’s used in Manor from last year.

RoboCop. I think they are planning a new one but we haven't heard anything about it for a long time.

Dark Universe. The Mummy wasn't very good but I think they should make more.

No we sure don’t. If ever there was something that was 100% complete and finalized it’s the Jackson LOTR trilogy. My GOD please no. No, no, no. And, Abrams? No, no, no. Then, he’ll leave after one film and we’ll get some other director to come in and undo everything he did. Do the Star Wars sequels ring a bell here? LOL.

As for what could continue:
Blade Runner, maybe?
Dune
The Golden Compass - I always thought the first one decent and they should have continued.

Bumblebee, but with more of the Gen 1 transformers stuff.

The Godfather 4. Just wanna see what was rumored of Andy Garcia leading the family off a cliff. Would be a solid film for FFC to retire with. Pacino is also around the age he was when Michael “died” at the end of 3. I think it could work.

Snyderverse.

I really wanna see that 2-parter finish.

The way I see it, Snyder already did his trilogy. Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, and Justice League. I think it's time to move on. So much headache making these movies.

F*cking Snyderverse. Maybe one day we'll get the second half of Battlfield Earth or that Aunt May movie too.

Snyder Cut is the first time non-Snyder fans have actually been receptive to his work.

Man of Steel was criticized a bunch. We don't have to go back to BvS everyone knows how contraversial that was..

I think Snyder Cut made a lot of people sit back and be like ok wow maybe he was going for something here.

People will still ***** about how long his movies are, but he truly has his vision and needs time for people to see it.

Snyder Cut left me wanting moooooaaaaar. Seeing Darkseid realized on the big screen was one of my favorite moments of 2021. I'll always hold out hope. Remember, hope is a good thing. May be the best of things.
