When done right, CGI is better than matte paintings and model effects.

And yes, those old effects ooze charm, but I’m talking about actually selling exotic or alien worlds, space battles and the like…. Making us think they look real.

That does seem unpopular, though I did enjoy Resurrections too.

However, my favorite Matrix sequel is still probably Reloaded.

This scene alone tops any of the action in Resurrections for me:

Olympic wresting is a sport. WWE is Vaudeville.

Star Wars is a fantasy, not sci-fi.

Agree, though I don't think this is unpopular. "Space Opera" has been more and more commonly used in regards to SW, I believe.

Yeah, it's just, I remember when someone asked Steven Spielberg if he would ever direct a Star Wars film. Then Steven Spielberg admitted that Star Wars is not his genre. People were like, but he makes sci-fi films all the time. In my head I was like, yeah, but Star Wars isn't that kinda of sci-fi, though. Steven Spielberg does more like a thinking's man sci-fi, Star Wars is basically wizards in space.

Reckon that (like who's the best Dr Who) is one of those questions where you can predict the answer pretty accurately based on age (sorry if you're 90/9 and I'm talking sh!te).
i go with Moore because he was the guy in the cinemas when I was a kid, but essentially anybody but Lazenby could be argued for I guess.

I'd put Lazenby ahead of Moore and Brosnan. I like the first Bond, the last Bond, Lazenby and Dalton. So how old am I?
[Show spoiler]Sean will always be the best!

007. Connery
2. Dalton
3. Moore
4. Brosnan

5. whoever the next Bond is

6. Craig

7. Lazenby

Seriously, Mickey Rooney would of been a better James Bond than Lazenby. I know it's hip to "re-evaluate" OHMSS, but it really was the worst Bond film ever made... until No Time to Die got pinched out.
