Was assuming this would probably get a 4k release. One of the scarier movies that I saw in theaters as a kid. Bit of a slowburn horror with a llot of atmosphere and buildup. Not sure if some of the scenes would be qualified as 'jump scares' since I haven't seen this movie in years, but I recall there were several moments where the audience was really on edge.

It looks like I'm going to have a boatload of worthless blu ray collector's editions.

All of these scream blu's the last 5-7 years feel like ripoffs at this point.

Blu's weren't rip-offs, they were welcome and a damn nice version to have while and/if these 4K's never came to be.

Plus if you have the slips, you still have something. Not as much has before 4K, but still something. Posters are also always worth something.

I'm curious as to how the UHD will handle the UK cut of the film. IIRC, Arrow had to source the alternate footage from a theatrical print, which was then scanned in 2K. Will they go to the trouble of rescanning the footage, or decide it's not worth the hassle and upscale it?

And Scream doesn't do branching. Are they going to make this a two UHD set for 2 seconds of footage?

Should be interesting.

Even Arrow plonked the uncut version on another disc, which is weird because it's not like they haven't done branching on numerous occasions.
