The only problem I have with it, is it's labelled as a horror. Nice to see I'm not alone on this either ![]() |

Honestly, I still dont think we've seen the PERFECT Zombie movie. Someone smart and knows zombies should make one. Some facts/suggestion for a great zombie movie, IMHO. - Zombies should not run. - No dumb acting or dumb scripts, it kills the movie, think both Night of the Living Dead movies here, where both times the white and black dudes cant get along in a house surrounded by undead. And girl actors thinking if they should attack one second, the next acting like wonder women. Or just about the worst plan ever, bringing a truck in front of a house to escape and than not knowing how to get in lol. - Return of the Living dead would have been the perfect zombie flick if it had just a bit less comedy moments and no running zombies. - Return of the Living dead had the best zombies, that half woman is still pretty creepy to look at and listen to. Not to mention the Brains dude under the stairs. - Day of the Dead had the best killing scenes, so did Dawn too. |

![]() BTW, I loved that scene in 28 weeks later when he has to run away and leave his wife behind, that is one of the saddest, hardest impacting parts of a movie I've ever seen. That was so well done, with the music and everything. |

Since we are talking zombies.......What do you guys think of Dawn of the Dead (2004). I still haven't watched it, but was thinking about renting it. My wife is on vacation, so I am on a horror film spree. She gets scared easily! Anyways, let me know what you think and 2 other horror films that I should rent. Has anyone seen Shadow of the Vampire?

Absolutely, without a doubt Black Christmas. Without Black Christmas, Halloween may have been a different monster. Black Christmas is a true classic.
I also LOVED Blair Witch Project. I saw it in the theater and have never been as scared as I was during the last 10 minutes of that movie. |

The new Dawn was great. A completely different beast. Faster paced and clearly a nice sized budget. Lot of killer action scenes. Though I won't say it's better than the original. If it's zombies your after, sticking with the high energy, Planet Terror is awesome. Slither is also a fun pic. Haven't seen Shadow yet. But William Dafoe is supposed to really good in that film. I also want to throw a shout out to Black Sheep. No, I'm not talking about the Chris Farley movie. But an actual killer sheep movie! Think Shaun of the Dead. But with sheep. It's not as crappy as it sounds. |

![]() Night of the Creeps is coming to Blu-ray later this year. Been waiting for a good release of this for years, so this will be a real treat. Both the theatrical and the director's cut will be included. ![]() |

regarding whether a film is good or not-- to me SESSION 9 and the '78 BODY SNATCHERS are the EXACT same kind of horror movie-- psychological, eerie, moody, scary, and excellent! |

Watched Dawn of the Dead (Zack Snyder version) last night and LOVED it. It was creepy, and definitely played on the fear that what would you do if you went to sleep happy and fine, but then wake up to utter chaos. SCARY. It made me think about it as I was going to sleep last night. A must watch if you have not seen it. Now I am going to pick up a couple more movies for tonight. Horror, what else? I was thinking Land of the Dead and Planet Terror? What do you guys think. I need two to watch tonight.

I really liked "Wrong Turn", that is really well done and Rob Zombie's "House of 1,000 Corpse's" was cool too. Paid 10 dollars at Walmart last week for that one in Blu Ray. Was pretty cool. A prequal to "The Devil's Rejects". I liked it better than it. Hostel is over the top in a real creepy way. WOW

I have seen 28 days/weeks later. Both are great films. I actually worked at a small (4 screen) theater when 28 days was released, and I was the projectionist.......So I would received the films each week, and get them ready on Wednesday/Thursday nights, and I was the only person working, So I watch 28 days later by myself, in the empty theater, and I must say, I kept looking over my shoulder. It was so scary the first time.
