This French cartoon was spectacularly good as a Western animated series since it captured the feel of the Old West, but regrettably it's mostly forgotten by most.
Today, I watched the 1983 movie (three episodes merged as one) and I loved it, what's more, the Opening Theme Song and Ending Theme Song were in English (while the "movie" I watched it dubbed in Spanish) which shows just how much potential there was. Still is, the animation looks superb especially considering it was hand drawn. ![]() (It doesn't look like a true high def remaster, but better than the old SD versions available) Opening Ending Oh, turns out all 26 episodes were dubbed in English and are available on YouTube. |

Enjoyed the comics when I was a kid, as a cartoon it just wasn’t the same.

When I was a kid, I loved the Comics.
Just a few years ago I made a rerun of all the TV Series also the animation Movies. I still had a lot of fun. Only the Live Action Movies and Series were bad. I Like Terence Hill but not as Lucky Luke. |

That animation was much better than the crap used today. So many animated shows look like they are drawn by little kids, from bobs burgers, new ducktales, and so many others.

There are dozens of widely known and well regarded European comics, that never achieved a breakthrough in the US. Probably because the US was already over saturated with the works of American comic artists from primarily Marvel and DC.
It's a shame, because some of this source material is amazing and deserves a wider audience. |

I'll be watching Lucky Luke since it was dubbed in English and it feels like the appropriate language to watch it with. Heck, even Italian Westerns felt weird watching in Italian than English, eh, whatever, they were still superb. |
