That converter seems similar to the 3D Bee, but for $40+ less. It looks like it can convert 2D to 3D Ready, but I'm not sure that it could convert HDMI 3D into 3D Ready. Maybe it can, and the instructions are just unclear, as when these gizmos were rolling out, there was a market for 3D Bluray->3D Ready converter boxes as 3D Ready projectors were common but HDMI 3D projectors weren't. Interestingly, these converters mention that the pop-out will be 30% greater when used on a 720p display than they are on a 1080p display. I hadn't considered that it would work like this. Have you or the other 3D gurus on here seen what the results of these sort of converters look like? Can they be used to enhance the 3D of content that is already 3D? |
