Repackaged “Bonus Stage Edition” coming March 15, 2022. Same discs as before but with premium items: mini Steelbook, poster cards, and a comic book (may be same as original release).

No special features really what a waste of a release.

Some people complain that the CGI may sometimes not blend well with the live action elements but they blended better when I saw it in 35mm compared to watching it on my TV.

I never knew that they still make analogue 35mm prints for more recent films, even ones that were digitally shot, produced and composited.
What?

Verrryyyy interesting! Is this in the US or some other country? I assumed all theaters and chains worldwide went completely digital, since digital projection went wide in 2010 and mass production of film prints (aside rare exceptions like Hateful 8 and Tenet getting limited 70mm runs) completely stopped in 2015.

This is in the Philippines. Many of the cheaper cinemas here still use 35mm film.

How is it possible for films not on 35mm to be on 35mm?

Paramount don't release film prints anymore except for very special occasions, such as prestige filmmakers who shoot on film.
In fact most studios have adopted this strategy, so I seriously doubt you watched it in 35mm as no film print was made for this movie.

They record the digital image onto analogue film. Such tech has existed for several decades.

There's something that has always confused me that I can't find a concrete answer for. Why was Sonic given that one design in the first place?

I think it would have better suited the type of movie they made.

Ignoring the actual design itself, which is of course awful, the original model had a lot more detail and work put into it, and not just because of the "realistic" look.
The model used after the re-design often feels unfinished, as if they're using a LOD variant and not the full res one. I'm sure the budget and time allocated to it affected that, because it already looks miles better in the trailers for the sequel.

Not that I expected it to be unredeemed, but since no one thanked you for your generosity, thank you for your generosity!

They specifically wanted to capture the realistic, gritty look of Michael Bay's Transformers and TMNT movies. They knew Sonic fans would hate it, but they wanted moviegoers, which went in droves for Bayformers and Bayturtles.
With how Paramount wanted Sonic to recapture their successes with Michael Bay's reboots, I'm surprised they didn't get Michael Bay to do this one. And I'm glad.

I do like Michael Bay movies, but his style and direction is just completely unfitting for Sonic.

Okay, that makes sense.
