nothing new. The problem is that they say they can do many layers (you know with the "up to 20" crap but with each layer you add the complexity increases by a lot and yields and manufacturing go up. In essence if it amounts to anything my guess is that it could be 4 layers and the VCD version of HD (low quality crap released in poor countries).

For greater accuracy, I suspect replacing in the article "being adopted by" with "being ignored by."

No way any studios are going to support yet another format- and an unproven dark horse one at that.

And no, I don't believe the bit rate.
