I'm glad you said something about Godzilla. It's another take I have that would make people crazy on here.

Since we are on the topic of Godzilla, Mechagodzilla was absolutely wasted in Godzilla vs. Kong.

I've not seen click, but if I had I doubt I would've walked out of the movie like I did with Uncut Gems. AND I NEVER walk out of movies. Also, I love two men having the hots for each other. Those are some of my favorite films, if you catch my drift.
So you say this, and I figure I've got you wrong, but then you come up with this next post here....

- The original Robocop is not THAT great of a movie. It's certainly good, but it's not as GOOD as everyone claims it to be.
- Most horror movies are really not amazing and the horror genre can be one of the worst genres at times.
- Spider-Man 3 is up there as one of the best comic book movies made in the last 15 years. Perhaps even top 3.
- Francis Ford Coppola can be a terrific director, but he also can be very overrated. His work is spotty as well.
- Robert Downey Jr. is not that great of an actor and does not deserve all the accolades or money he has earned.
- Sean Penn is annoying and overrated.
- Madonna is a good actress.
- Dick Tracy is one of the all-time best comic book movies and the best movie of 1990.
- Body of Evidence IS a good movie.
- Nolan actually ruined Batman in the movies AND the comics.
- I actually like and have thought about buying the movie Steel.
- Ridley Scott hasn't done a good movie in 14-15 years.
- Blade Runner is not ALL that and a bag of chips. It's good for what it is, but it is not some sort of misunderstood masterpiece.
- 2001: A Space Odyssey is way overrated. A really good movie, but it isn't a classic like some like to believe.
- Stanley Kubrick is not an all-time great director. He is really good though.
- Xanadu IS a good film.
- Daredevil isn't the worst movie made.
- I sat through Elektra and actually liked it.
- Out of Africa didn't deserve all the accolades it got and it is sort of boring.
- The Pelican Brief is a better movie than Schindler's list.
- The Fugitive is a better movie than Schindler's list.
- Pulp Fiction isn't that good and is not even the best movie of that year.
- Quentin Tarantino is highly overrated.
- David Fincher is also highly overrated.

That's it for now.

Aside from a handful of films in my top 20, the rest were not liked or seen by many. As for my music tastes, it's full a-tier efforts by underground artists and mainstream alike. Though a lot of them were outside the mainstream at first. Here's a short rundown:

- Edie Brickell & New Bohemians
- The Sundays
- Radiohead
- Liz Phair
- R.E.M.
- Suzanne Vega
- Abra Moore
- 10,000 Maniacs
- The Cure
- The Innocence Mission

I know from my views in this thread I come off like every other mindless drone out there, but I am most certainly not. I just posted the most unpopular movie opinions. That is what this thread is all about, after all.
It very much sounds to me like you ARE going the same path as the majority of multiplex moviegoers, but I don't know, I'm having a hard time getting a read on you. You're opposing a lot of film establishment with your opinion, and while I don't have a problem with that - everyone's got their opinions, I'm sure my opinion that Jurassic Park is one big pile of shit would ruffle some feathers here - I don't see what it is you like with the few movies you actually said you like. Personally I have a hard time quantifying my top 5s and 20s of anything, because I like things differently based on their qualities, however I would like to actually see your list of top 20 movies, and also ask what director or directors (if any) you consider "all time great director".

I'll quickly throw out some points to argue your opinion as well:

- While Tarantino is most definitely full of himself, Pulp Fiction is, if anything, remarkable in its delivery, outside of the "norm" if you will, for its time (at least the way I perceived it).
- If you want to talk about "who ruined Batman", I've got a lot of people with the opinion that this was done in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice", with a plot point that went off the rails and into the woods at high speed. I certainly think that Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy are excellent movies, and would put them in a list of my favourites.
- If 2001: A Space Odyssey isn't a classic despite being a good movie, then what is a classic to you?

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on you; I'm trying to understand you, because so far you've given me a few titles with no explanation to what qualifies them (and what disqualifies some other movies), and you've made me curious.

This is an unpopular movie opinion thread. It doesn't anything about backing said opinions. Their unpopular and they supposed to be. Are most of my movies multiplex? Probably so. However a good number of films that I love are not loved by multiplex moviegoers. In fact, of them bombed pretty badly. If you want a list of my top 20 movies, I can do that. It won't change your opinion though, I don't think.

I have never watched a full movie, television show, or sporting event on a phone, computer, or iPad. Hell, I almost always watch YouTube on one of my televisions.

If you can hold the screen in your hands, it's too small.

Ok. Here is my list:

1.Star Wars Collection - The Empire Strikes Back
2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower
3. Tron
4. The Black Cauldron
5. X-Men Collection - X2: X-Men United
6. The X-Files: Fight the Future
7. Spider-Man Collection: Spider-Man 2
8. The Lord of the Rings
9. The Matrix Collection
10 Speed 2: Cruise Control/Fantasia 2000
11.Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
12. Batman
13. Elizabethtown
14. Back to the Future
15. Mission Impossible
16. Superman: The Movie
17. Rear Window
18. Philadelphia
19. Pump Up The Volume
20. Fantasia/Titan A.E.

Mind you, some of those films hold a special place in my heart and that's why they place high on my list. I still think all these films are excellent. So, it's not a knock when I said what I did above. I would still love these films no matter, but those special circumstances helps their placings. In all those cases, they involve my fiancé who passed away. Doesn't take away how good these films are to me. I just think others might place higher if it weren't for those circumstances.

Also collections are grouped together cause otherwise a whole series of films would take up the top 20. And I have a tie becuae of those circumstances I mentioned. I just couldn't leave one of those out of the top ten. As for the other tie, I really had a hard time with that. However that one movie (Titan A.E.) profoundly affected me in such a way that with resonates with me today. It's one of my top 10 movie moments of all time and that day has affected me like no other almost. There are other movies I left off with that special connection simply because i can't have those that high. I tried to be very objective with my list, but those circumstances and memories attached to those movies have had the biggest and profoundest affect on me. They are 1/2 of what shaped who I am today. Without those I wouldn't be half the person I am.

I realize it's a very populated list in that it's mostly Hollywood multiplex movies. However, a lot of them didn't connect with multiplex moviegoers. Also, another point to making the list and what all these movies share in common is they have a melody. In other words, there is something that compells you and gets you "in the door", so to speak. If any of that makes any sense. I know this is a long post and I thank you for reading it.

Signs is a great movie, I re-watched it recently and gave it a 4.5/5 score. This is one I always wanted a sequel showing the whole war between humans and the aliens. Maybe not with M. Night directing it, but def with him contributing to the story.

For the love of Gods, don't watch a movie on an iPad. I once saw someone watching a movie on one on a plane and the black bars were so much I said to myself then I'd never get an iPad. I do however have a tablet (just recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+) for that reason. I use it to check RSS feeds in the morning, keep tabs on games I'm not really watching (and if I do I switch back to the big TV), and watching Movies/TV Shows while I'm traveling on planes and trains. I love my S8+, the 12.4" is a big step up from the 10-11" tablets I had before. Awesome screen.

I like both movies and they rank fairly high on my comic book movie list.
