Default It ain't going to happen, be realistic :)

OK, What films do you think have the least chance of getting a Blu-ray release??

Also, specifically what films do you addore, that you know will probably never make it to Blu-ray.

I figured this might help us all vent a little of our frustration and maybe throw up some interesting titles as I know a lot of you guys are serious film buffs and many of you are a little disappointed with the current releases.

Can I also ask, please Blu-ray.com, can we have embede youtube video's enabled on these forums, Pleeeease! I guess for now we'll just have to post links, can you also post links of your chosen titles if poss?

The Cell - I really like this flick and think it would be a cool HD release. It just seems to fly under the radar and noone ever mentions it.

The Others - Another great flick, IMO that just doesnt get discussed very much. Its better and has a better style/direction than most "ghost" movies out there but always gets skipped over.

Twin Peaks TV show - Great show, at least through 18 episodes. It was recently released on SD DVD in a nice box set but I doubt it will get a blu-ray release.

Theres probably more but I cant think of any right now. Cool thread though!

One that I would love to see and have no hope of it showing up on Blu-ray is "Strange Brew". Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas are hilarious in this. I assume all Canadians act and talk like this (sorry Canadians ). Here's a link to the original trailer: Strange Brew Trailer

Everyone should watch it at least once just to say you have. Most people I've talked to that have seen it (a small number to be sure), agree that it's a fantastic comedy.

What do you mean all Canadians talk like that, Hey? That would be only the English speaking Canadian, French Canadians don't. We just swear at every other words instead

But yeah it's a funny movie but I wonder why should it not end up on BD? It's popular enough I think?

Where do I begin? Gojoe, Tanuki-goten, The Man Who Stole the Sun, Battle Royale (at least not in a Region A edition with subs), Swallowtail Butterfly, Funeral Procession of Roses, tons more. There's a list of great-looking cult flicks as long as my driveway that'll probably never show up.

The Others is getting a Canadian release in July. I agree The Others is a great film, and I'm just going to import it. (The Cell is getting released in July too)

The Others is actually being released in Canada on July 7th. It probably won't have any extras, but it will be on Blu-ray.

I love Strange Brew! I have it on standard definition DVD. I would love it to come to Blu, but have my doubts that it will anytime soon.

Wow, awesome thread OP! There are so many that I like that I don't think are going to make it to blu.

#1. Many older films, in which I mean from the 40's and 50's. They have come out on DVD but it has taken forever for them to get there and they are usually not too great of quality. (I'm not talking about the big ones, like North by Northwest or The Maltese Falcon or Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but less notable ones)

#2. Moonwalker- they haven't even put out a Region 1 DVD of it!!

#3. A lot of Meryl Streep's Academy Award nominated films, like Ironweed, French Lieutenant's Woman, Silkwood, A Cry in the Dark and so forth. They have taken forever to put out Ironweed on DVD, so I figure it will either be never or an extremely long time before we see it on blu

That's all I can think of right now...but I'm sure I will think of more

My favorite wrestling documentary, Beyond The Mat.

TV shows like Upright Citizens Brigade, Hamish Macbeth, Doctor Who (classic)...

I still buy plenty of DVDs because of the lack of titles on BD.

How about MST3k? You think we'll see that on BD?

Weird how films like Clockwork Orange get released so fast yet big ones don't.
