Apologies. I had that post up for at least two hours before I finally posted it. Kept getting distracted.

I'm going to miss the 'Goodbye Klingon/Goodbye Epsilon Nine/Pre-Launch' track name. Personally I was hoping those three tracks would be presented discrete, but that's ok. At least they split 'Games/Spock Walk' into seperate tracks. Looking forward to hearing the rest of it.

Already got my playlists lined up for import. The film score presentation from the 3-Disc set will be the "Theatrical" and this presentaiton will be the "Director's Edition". Don't ask me why I keep both. I'll sometimes listen to previous soundtracks just to hear the quality differences.

At a glance it looks like they have removed Bob Peak's signature and added the designer of the cd set. I hope I'm wrong but if that is the case I'm not too happy about that.

Peak's signature is where it belongs on the cover.

Click the link to the hi-res cover image at the bottom of the description, it's harder to see in the super compressed preview one.

Alas, it'll cost so much to import that I'll just pick it up on fleabay from a UK seller like I did with the latest Khan re-issue.

Definitely not the same. You can also get the soundtrack from Intrada's store.

I just bought the new CD with import to the UK from this Japanese site.

https://arksquare.net/detail.php?cdno=LLLCD-1579

Worked out about £32 total.

Yes we need the Director's cut badly so we can upgrade our DVD for this.

Yeah I reckon you're on the money. Also for the record I'm willing to bet the DE hits Para+ a week or so before the release of Strange New Worlds, which premieres on May 5th (which has just announced its inclusion of Captain Kirk). Let's see how my prediction pans out!

It will probably be at least a year before it's allowed to screen in cinemas like Alamo Drafthouse, but I will make due with the 4K and BD until that time.

They finally fixed the shot of the Enterprise in the wormhole when it fires the torpedo! Originally, and in the 2001 Director's Edition, that shot was the only effects shot of the Enterprise in the wormhole that did not have the light stretching effect.
