Ordered Meatcleaver Massacre. Never heard of it but it sounds like a worthwhile blind buy. My first Shout exclusive purchase in a while.

No idea. I don't think I've ever seen the film on any list of Corman-produced or distributed titles. Might be a one-off.

Hoping for another Horror exclusive today. I'm down for Meatcleaver Massacre but need something to pair it with and there isn't a whole lot left that I don't already own that I'd be interested in at the current prices.

So apparently Catalina Home video released Meatcleaver Massacre on VHS back in 84/85. They also released Alligator, Mansion of the Doomed, Cinderella, Dr. Tarr's Torture Dungeon, Amuchk!, The Psychic, Parts: The Clonus Horror, The Day After Halloween, The Giant Spider Invasion, The Mansion of Madness, Undercover Lover, and The Man from S.E.X.

Seem's feasible that this (and potentially other titles) were picked up as a package when they went after the rights for Alligator.

If I knew this would live up to that title/poster it would be an insta buy, but reviews are leading me to believe otherwise ..

The Day After Halloween, if it's the Aussie flick, was released by Scorpion and then by Vinegar Syndrome IIRC.

I'll echo others sentiments; wish there was another exclusive to pair with Meatcleaver Massacre. Gonna let it ride for now and pick it up with the next exclusive(s).

Hopefully moar biker films. You know, cause Shout is fixated on 'em.

Meatcleaver Massacre sounds like something I should like but the reviews and trailer are telling me otherwise. Maybe I would've picked it up if SF could put up 2 titles

I have few if any concerns regarding the discs holding up for decades, however I do have some concerns regarding the supply of 4k players and their longevity. Blu Ray players were produced en masse and there are tons and tons of them floating around to ensure that my discs will always have a means to be played. Even if the supply of standalone players dried up there are still game consoles and the vast availability of Cheap BD-R drives for Computer which would still allow me to create an ISO and thus play the file on a computer or burn it again if needed. 4k however has much fewer players, requires massive amounts of storage space for a handful of films, cannot be backed up to disc as easily, and requires special types of drives to even get the file off of the disc.

I don't think there will be any problem in the foreseeable future. I just watch Walking the edge on my grandfathers old Dux VR2020 that is 41 years old now! A couple of back-up 4K player when they stopp producing them and you are set for decades to follow.
