I had thought I had read that the Panasonic DP-UB820 handled DV better than the Oppo UDP-203. Perhaps it did at one time? Anyway, not now apparently. Glad I held onto the 203 as a media file player. I guess I will go back to using it as my primary as I won't be in the market for a new display either for a while.
