I think there’s a very good chance we’ll see a blu release when the new movie comes out. I’d bet on it.

Well it would have been nice if it did but looks like just Zombie's version is coming to blu ray.

I loved both The Munsters and The Addams Family on reruns as a kid, so I'd gladly buy either one on Blu-Ray if they ever get a release.

I watched the Rob Zombie movie and gave my opinion on that thread but I am here to talk about the series. I loved this show. I always thought Addams Family was the rival but honestly maybe I need to watch that series and give it a chance. Anyway, one of my favorite parts in The Munsters was the episode when Herman was trying out for MLB. One of the coaches said “Where will he play on the team? And another coach said “Forget about baseball, send that man to Vietnam” It was funny and sad at the same time. This show was aired before America knew anything about the horror that was about to begin.

The Munsters was great! By the way, for anyone who want to see a very different side of Yvonne De Carlo, check out the Alec Guinness film The Captain’s Paradise

I ran across (new to me) The Munsters streaming on Roku last night. Beautifully remastered! Never looked so good. Great detail. Crisp. Nice range of B/W values. Hope it comes to Blu-Ray.

However some music has been replaced -- Notably the instrumental "Someday My Prince Will Come'' in "The Sleeping Cutie".

Would love it to come to blu ray with the original music intact.
