Just because I think of my favorite food when I hear people talk about being hungry doesn't mean they think of my favorite food. Of course you can apply the quote to career choices, but it's not exclusive to them.
then why did you say in the previous post that career choices had nothing to do with the quote??

You just said that you could apply them to career choices and now you are taking it back??

Then can you at least partially agree with that quote??

No. One doesn't have to have a structured career to have money, or to get money. Money offers freedom, and freedom is happiness, so money does buy happiness by buying freedom.

I could agree with a statement like "We don't need money to have happiness" though.

I didn't say you have to have a structured career to have money, I'm just saying doing what you want to do with your life will make you happy. Shia has money. If he doesn't want to be an actor anymore he can go do what he truly wants to do that will make him happy. That could be buying a surfboard and surf all day, but he is doing what makes him happy.

He's rich, yes. He's likely in the public eye, not on the Britney level but surely some of his privacy is compromised, and is currently experiencing heartbreak.

He may not be emotionally all there but as stated he should have the funding put aside where he could realistically do what he wants now, if he lives a modest lifestyle. Maybe after a few more Transformers movies, but still better off than most of us (I'm guessing).

Ok, that is a better quote because it fits both our definitions

But without money he wouldn't be happy. He'd be hungry, and have no way to get a new surfboard if he broke it, and no beer money or weed money and you know those are staples of the beach bum lifestyle, he would have no shelter either.

And out of curiosity, did you use the surfing reference because of 'Surf's Up'?

Lol, no I did not use that surfing reference for that.

He could open a shop then for surfing and crap like that, idk. If he wants to surf all day and make some money just to keep up with surfing, then let it be. It'll make him content if that is what he wants. He might have to sacrifice some of the weed and booze but if that, meaning weed and booze, does not fall into him being happy, then he could use it only occassionally.

He would still need money though. It's near impossible to live in a capitalist society and survive without money.

While I do agree that WE as people do not NEED money to be happy, I do believe that with the current state of things, we have no choice. Everything revolves around money.

And is he into surfing? If so I didn't know that, just that he did the voice on Surf's Up

I don't know if he likes surfing either. I just used it as an example. Regardless, you are right on both accounts,
1. we don't need money to be happy
2. but it sure could help us reach our goals if we're not there yet or keep us on track if we are already there.

Why can't actors and actresses just keep their opinions about things to themselves?

Megan Fox Wants Middle America to Die

http://www.worstpreviews.com/headlin...=13818&count=0

I hate to keep mentioning Megan Fox, but she refuses to keep her mouth shut. And her new comments are by far the most disturbing and unnecessary.

TotalFilm recently interviewed the actress and asked her how she would stop the villainous Megatron from demolishing the planet. Fox first said that she would "make a deal with him," adding: "and instead of the entire planet, can you just take out all of the white trash, hillbilly, anti-gay, super bible-beating people in Middle America?"

I guess Fox is not too worried about losing acting gigs due to her comments. She previously stated that she will keep getting cast in movies and doesn't need to be a good actress, because Hollywood is superficial and she happens to be good-looking.

Yea I heard about this yesterday. I'm glad that we are in a country where we can speak freely but I think some things should just be kept to yourself sometimes.

Well, as with Shia's statement, I would have to say that every word of Megan's is dead-on as well.

Oh, I agree. I'm talking about destroying those middle americans, not about hollywood being superficial. I agree with the hollywood part, but her take on those people of middle america should probably be kept to herself.

Unless you also think those people should be eliminated???

If she feels that way, she should express it. There's no sense in hiding who we are. One thing she needs to realize though is that it's not only middle-America that is full of moronic dregs, they are spread all over
