It's an early release but I do hope A24 is lining up a good campaign for Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

That and I hope "Canterbury Glass" goes nowhere near the Oscars. David O. is an overrated narcissistic hack. That and how he abuses his crew rubs me the wrong way.

Did any Sundance opener cause as big an impression as Mass and CODA did last year? I heard good word on the Emma Thompson and the Dakota Johnson movies, but they don't seem strong enough to become Best Picture contenders.

Avatar 2 should be a contender. The first film was nominated for nine Academy Awards including Best Picture, Director, and Cinematography. It won three.

I doubt people still care about Avatar. The wow factor has been diluted by other movies that have practically surpassed it in that area. Hell, Dune won more tech awards than Avatar.

It will be interesting to see what sort of reception it gets along with marketing campaign. I am also very curious if it will re-ignite the 3D market.

It's James Cameron though and he's had 10+ years to make the sequel so it's gotta be good. Just not sure if it will be T2 good.
