I don't feel like I am missing a great deal at the moment, but I'm holding off some games until I do get a PS5. With the exception of Gran Turismo 7 which has been entertaining.

I bought an Xbox Series X last week because Wal-Mart had it in stock for over a while and I bought 2 years of GPU with the Gold to Ultimate upgrade. I am keeping an eye open to buy a PS5 now to get it as soon as I can find one. Still, playing Forza Horizon 5 or some of the other games that were enhanced for "next-gen," it is clear that this gen has not been fully utilized.

Developers likely had to stop working on Next Gen games to for a while. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a difference where the PS5 shows a big difference to the PS4, like the old days of seeing an Arcade game and then a Sega Genesis or SNES port.

Developers did amazing things with the CPU the PS4 had, I believe they can develop amazing things once they fully use the power of the Ryzen CPU, the new GPU and truly develop games around the SSD without any backwards compatibility consider.
Bishop, congratulations on finding an XBSX! That's cool and lucky too if MS keeps Bethesda and other companies' games all for the XB and not for Sony.

But I agree, the PS5, currently at this time, is like the next version, the PS4 Pro 2.0 released in November 2020. Faster loading, 60 fps and 4K with raytracing features! Aside from that, the games still feel like PS4 games but enhanced with the PS4 Pro 2's power/PS5.

Good points about the days when the differences were drastic between generations. Now things have advanced so far graphically with the PS4 era, that the PS5 doesn't have very far to go. The artists and developers were already great for PS4, which was a very capable console.

Thanks

Another reason I bought an Xbox again is because the online servers for Watch Dogs 1 are down on the PC and Playstation, they are only working on Xbox for the Online Hacking. I don't think Ubisoft will make much effort to fic the issue and I still need to have my fix of that game mode Plus the 60fps boost mode is a great addition on the Series X.

Along with the studios you mentioned, MLB The Show 22 will be available with Game Pass on release date, so I can play it without having to buy the game. Although I generally enjoy the UI of the Playstation more and the first party studio games from Sony. The options are good though.

I am really looking forward to trying the Dual Sense 5 controller as I am genuinely interested in how it feels with the game play. Astro's Playroom is going to be the first game I play and I have Ranchet & Clank already as it looks like it takes full use of the SSD.

I do hope I can find a PS5 for sell this week or in the next few weeks. I am trying to stay up to date on availability now. Fingers crossed.

Cool to hear Watch Dogs 1 has the online mode you enjoy, only on XBSX. I wonder how long those servers are going to be down if not permanently considering it's an older game for PC and PS4.

Dual Sense is better than just rumble, though my favorite aspect would be when firing weapons, you have resistance and then the trigger eases up after it engages.
As far as driving, I tend to reduce or shut off any resistance when driving with the triggers.
In Horizon 2, there is so much feedback for many parts of the game, it actually put the controller through a lot so I tamed that down too, to only respond to the haptics more than the rumbles. Yes, Astrobot PS5 is a great example of DS.

Best success with your goal to get a PS5 in stores. Definitely a challenge but hopefully they have more arriving asap.

Goal achieved! Today I received my PS5

Also, how can I check how much time I have played in each game?

I installed the 2TB SSD and it was simple. Now I am installing some PS5 discs, want to install Drive Club and download the DLC. I do want to play the Astro's game to get a true feel of that Dual Sense 5. I will install Watch Dogs Legion to try it at 60fps. I don't plan to play through it now, but I want to see it.

Question. I installed Gran Turismo PS5 disc and downloaded the save data from my PS4 play though. Now I was advanced on PS5 as I was on my PS4, but the trophies didn't auto transfer to the PS5, it only gave me one trophy.

Is it a slow process or is it limited to some games?

Not sure what you mean about GT.

PS4 GT Sport & PS5 GT7 are 2 different games both with their own trophy lists.

Sorry, I forgot to say GT7.

None of the trophies from my recent PS4 game play, activated as PS5 trophies. I noticed that once I did a race, that 3 or 4 trophies popped up.

is this how it is suppose to work? I was thinking that all the PS4 trophies would become PS5 trophies once you launched the Gran Turismo 7 on the PS5.

As for Gran Turismo Sport, I understand that stayed as a PS4 game and the trophies won't upgrade.

Thanks, yeah makes more sense.

As per PS5 trophy transfers, it’s usually a delay from PSN Servers that is the cause. Some games can be instant, some can take days while others can take months.

An example of this is when I immediately upgraded PS4 Saints Row on Day 1. Only a few trophies popped. After a week I decided to delete the game. Then months later I decided to get it back. When I re-downloaded the game & started it up months later, the rest of the trophies that didn’t show up Day 1 all popped up.

Some games also require progression in order for the trophies to transfer.

I’m not much into trophies. If they work great, if they don’t, oh well.. is my attitude towards PS4 to PS5 trophies. It’s more frustrating IMO when a trophy doesn’t pop when you did whatever it was to acquire it.

Recent example here is LEGO Star Wars. Ya get 1 for each of the 9 films. For whatever reason, #6 didn’t pop. A day later PSN decided to give me the trophy.
