HAHA!! Great! This movie really is a test. It's a test on myself as well. It's hard to watch and it really drains you. Love every second of it.

Keep me posted on the romantic date with you and your girlfriend and Eraserhead...

Ya know, sometimes it's better to have a girlfriend who's not an exact clone of yourself. Gotta have balance in a relationship and i think having two people in the house who love Eraserhead is not balanced at all.

hehe, great point! It's probably best to have one sane person in the house.

I would trade my entire Blu-ray collection for all Lynch films and Twin Peaks series on Blu-ray. I'm his biggest fan.

Twin Peaks is currently being shown in HD on the Crime and Investigation Channel here in LA. Not sure where the print came from but I suspect it's from the Gold Box set. Comparing the two, the Gold Box set looks much more natural in it's color balance and lighting. The HD broadcasts are too dark and red tinted. Strange.

I hope a full HD print is made at some point so we can enjoy the episodes in HD on Blu-ray. I'd buy it in a heartbeat even though I've already bought the series twice on DVD.

I agree that Blu-ray would only benefit from a full David Lynch catalog. In fact getting into Blu-ray, my thought was to be more selective in my purchasing compared to DVD and focus on the catalogs of Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch. Kubrick is just about complete, Lynch hasn't even gotten started.

David Lynch mastered Eraserhead frame-by-frame at 1080p resolution, so a Blu-Ray release should be no problem, with one catch. He self-distributed the film on DVD via his website; if you wish to see a Blu-Ray version, your best bet is to lobby him at davidlynch.com.

Done and done. Maybe Studio Canal could help out with the distro? I know they did Mullholland Dr. and Inland Empire, right?

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but was just wondering if anyone would have heard any rumors/news regarding Twin Peaks getting into blu-ray? Also, I am wondering that would the series really benefit from the HD treatment, or would the upgrade only be marginal, as it is with some movies.

I just got back from the Twin Peaks 20th Anniversary art show in downtown LA. there was a pretty huge turnout, lots of great art (not to mention Twin Peaks items for sale) There was a sign posted on the door from CBS saying they were filming and by being there you were allowing your likeness to be used. I can only imagine this is going to be used for some kind of future Blu Ray box set special feature.

It was pretty cool, I must say. It was held at this restaraunt in downtown LA that had a lot of woodsy/kitschy decor, so when we walked in the door (after almost an hour in line) with the Angelo Badalamenti music blaring, and the coffee, pie and donuts, it felt like a Twin Peaks themed restaraunt. David Lynch himself contributed some official new Twin Peaks art, much of which was for sale. Here are the links to the art and merch.

You've got a rival!

I assume your collection is big, right? Mine is only missing FWWM, Straight Story, Short Films, and Dynamic 1.
