I saw someone's theater on AVS that is similar to the Indiana Jones one, in the fact that it has custom made panels for the walls to give it an Egyptian theme...... Perhaps Brain Sturgeon can find the link.... either way, I like it better than any of those.

Found it...

I'm torn with the Batcave. Yes, it looks awesome, but it's modelled after the Batcave found in Joel Schumacher's films.

That's just not right.

When lights go down all the theaters look the same.
Said that, the only that counts is comfort and audio/video quality, the other thing its only ostentation, but beautiful ostentation I admit...

Personally I am not into these themed home theater rooms. I like a very clean look and some of these have too much going on IMO. I would want something I couldn't get tired of looking at.

Right now my home theater looks like a scene from The Hangover minus the tiger and the chicken that is.

HAHAHA

They all looked great, I love the Star Wars one just because I am a huge SW geek but I'm not sure I would want it as a theater, maybe have all that stuff in the lobby of my theater

Yeah, but I've found the unit really should be mounted on boxes of shotgun shells to give the image that "pop".

That room looks great, especially considering the budget!!

as cool as some of these rooms look, I have to wonder about the acoustics in some of them...

The bat cave looks great and all the stuff on the walls should help the sonics.

I hope that all the homeowners find buyers who will enjoy their 'theme park' if they have to sell. Me, I like form follows function.

I only like the pirate cove.

But,... I have a fairly minimalist view of HT... I'm still with the keep it simple and then eek more AV performance if possible mindset.

The pirate cove looked the best followed by the titanic themed HT.

Honestly though, I wouldn't want any of them. All to gaudy and a bit ridiculous. To each their own though. I find cars that are customized to be ridiculous too.

When you think it's too much, it's probably too much.

For me I just find it's a little too much. I find a HT like Brain Surgeon on here or many of the others on this site way more interesting. I find these HT to be just too much IMO

I'm with you on this. I'd take a room like Brain's or btf's any day over these themed rooms. Much too gaudy for my taste.

Yes, give me a simple setup room with nice quality equipment so I can enjoy the PQ & SQ at maximum with super comfy sitting, I don't need to decorations around it.
