Shout Factory beating Second Sight for Dog Soldiers. I wonder what scan they'll use. I was under the impression Second Sight commissions their own scans. Definite double dip for Funhouse and, of course, Cat People (hopefully fresh scan). Already have the Imprint Fire In the Sky but may grab this at some point.

Second Sight did say that Dog Soldiers was scheduled for June, so I'm guessing these will be released pretty much simultaneously.

Oh man…I haven’t pre-ordered from Shout in quite some time, but seeing that The Funhouse and Cat People are offering posters of the original theatrical artwork..I may have to go for it.

Interesting to note - the only UHD from this batch that mentions a new scan is Dog Soldiers. Seems odd.

Yes, Fire in the Sky, another one off the wishlist.

I just watched my ten-year old SF Blu for the Funhouse last week for the first time. Not feeling the need to upgrade it. Kind of tempted for Dog Soldiers.

Shallow month otherwise.

I’m so glad to see we are getting cat people/funhouse/dog soldiers on blu. Scream needs to release all their collectors editions on 4k. I missed a ton from people under the stairs moving forward and will buy every single release this time around.

People complaining about double dips - Shout did just release Meatcleaver Massacre, both Alligator films and Sword and the Sorcerer so it's not ALL double dips Something like Funhouse, with a decade-old scan, could really use a fresh scan so that double dip isn't totally pointless. I'm prepared to accept that this is the future of physical media: less premieres and more upgrades.

THE SENTINEL is a hoot, with a very starry cast. I'd love to see a 4K of that.
