The latest episode referenced the Infinite Crisis crossover in the opening and showed that John Henry was fighting the evil Superman when the energy wave of anti-matter was moving through his reality and about to hit Earth. Nat went through it in the pod and ended up in a great void.

Natalie is smart enough to know the difference in universal variants.
She's shouldn't all of a sudden dislike Clark, especially after many episodes where she was cool staying at the Kent house.

CW drama crap.

Glad I dropped the show after the first season.

That one character scenario doesnt weaken the show over all.

Its still above average.

What I hate with shows is when it seems producers can't wait to end one show to start on another that they're clearly much more interested in.

I felt that with Supergirl and this show.

For some reason, most of the episode was annoying me. Maybe it was just my mood.

A bunch of people doing dumb shit while acting like they had no choice in the matter.

Natalie blaming Superman for John Henry's choice to help him. Chrissie acting like Superman saving only 3 people at the mines was bad or something. It was their choice to follow the stupid cult lady. Jonathan protecting his stupid girlfriend who chose to deal drugs instead finding a legal and less harmful solution for their money problems.

And I'm already tired of the Ally storyline. I just want someone to punch her smug face.

Really pleased I did not subject myself to all of those misadventures

That part was BS. How did the antimatter wave annihilate everything EXCEPT her pod? Ridiculous.

She doesn't dislike him because she thinks he's the same Superman, she just got pissed because her dad almost died to save him. It's typical CW forced angst, but I'm sure it doesn't help that he looks like the guy who killed her mother, who even with her intelligence, she also feels is just wandering around without actually being her mother.

That wasn't my sense. I don't think Natalie consistently seemed comfortable ever since appearing on this Earth, and this came across more as an outburst of feelings she'd been holding back on this season. Given the medical crisis of her father, it seemed quite believable to me.

She had already been written as acclimated to she and her father's situation.

They did a whole couple of episodes where she "bonded" with the Kent kids.

It just seemed out of character that she would have a freakout after arriving from another universe and be written as a settled teen.

Granted it's a matter of perception, but it wouldn't have made sense for her to despise Clark's children. Unless we find out that they assisted in the other Earth, that is. And even then, I think plenty of people can relate in trying to make the most of a situation and having an outburst at some point in frustration. She'd shown concern for her father's safety generally before if I recall, so there again it makes sense she'd be enormously upset when her concerns became a reality.

Not saying "you're wrong", just that I've been seeing it differently. I think we're all biased in this being a CW series; it has to work that much harder to prove itself. I've said myself I'm kinda waiting for it to all go wrong myself. We'll see if it does.

Superman wouldn’t have had children with Lois in that alternate world. So, Jonathon and Jordan wouldn’t have been born.

Another thing to look at is that her mother was killed by a Superman. Now, her father was almost killed fighting another version Superman. So, she may just be paranoid about Clark becoming the enemy and endangering her and her father. In addition to the suit not being at full power. She’s just afraid of losing everyone she’s loves.

I really thought the Superman Light episode tonight would have sucked. But it was really good. Glad we go to focus on the Boys John Henry and Lana running for Mayor. Give them this episode than back to Supes.

The next episode takes place in the Inverse world. We're going to see the story behind "Bizarro Superman", which while radically different from Superman's, isn't far removed in most ways from what we've seen in S&L/Arrowverse. If you're wondering if we're gonna see that inverted Superman, the answer is yes, but we'll see that reality's Superman BEFORE he became that twisted version, which seems to be due to the Pendant's effects. Think of this episode as one where everyone gets to play the same character in a much different way and those characters do very different things. The "Superboy" take on Jonathan Kent will be shown, acting as something of a sidekick to his father, though nothing else has been revealed about the plot of this episode.

Very good episode.

90's Superboy actually looked good.

I feel like the S&L writers forgot Kara exists... they were talking about "where's Superman?" and Henry was trying to step in some and Jordan decided to step up and help... but literally Supergirl should still be around. Doesn't have to have Melissa Benoist as a guest star, just have a CGI girl flying around on the news. Or since they're both WB, just maybe use some stock CGI footage.

Didn't they reuse the footage of that Airplane that was falling in the sky from Supergirl's First Season. It looked Identical to the one she saved.

What is with the breaks during this season?

First break no episodes till March 22nd. We get the episode now no episodes till April 26th. what's going on?

It's just general suspension of disbelief that we have to do for any shared superhero universes. Nothing new in comic books, movies, or shows. And let's be frank: it'd be a lose-lose for these folks. If they show or talk about it, we'll complain we don't even want to be reminded this exists in cheap CWland. If they don't talk about it, then we complain about it for other reasons. And maybe I'm over-analyzing, but they didn't really portray Arrowverse Supergirl to be as "global" in her operations as Superman, even if she's every bit as capable and powerful as he is. She saved that plane in the series premiere, but that was relatively local and it didn't seem like she was off saving the world aside from some supervillains.

There was a break during the Olympics (and many shows paused at that time), although I don't think I've heard what this one is. Does this show take longer in post compared to the lower budget CW content? That could be a factor if so.

I would be fine if they were in their own universe, but they went out of their way to bring the Supers and Black Lightning onto Earth-Prime with Crisis so crossovers would be easier, and while I understand perfectly fine that they can't have a ton of crossover due to Covid and any travel and specific set limitations, but I wish they'd stop acting like it wasn't connected.... BECAUSE YOU MADE A POINT TO CONNECT THEM ALL! We don't need to have them bring up Kara every episode, but apart from Jenna Dewan returning as Lucy, they've ignored the show completely and I'm surprised they didn't just recast her like they did with their dad and act like Supergirl events were part of some weird fever dream because her and Diggle's (one) appearance are basically the only things that have set it in the Arrowverse.

When Clark went to Argo City, Supergirl was picking up the slack and was worldwide for a while. But even being a National City hero, with Clark gone she would be more likely to step up again, even if it's just showing a CGI Supergirl flying around on the news.
