I have always been in that group.

IMO, there will come a day when some services will attempt a difficult service stoppage like DirecTV, Dish, SiriusXM, Comcast and several others. Easy to signup online but must call in order to cancel and make you wait a long time before answering your call. If any service tries that on me it will get a permanent cancellation. OTOH, with that Jeannie out of the bottle (cancel online) it may be very difficult to reverse that process.

I just subscribed to Epix. They give you 7 free days then it's $5.99 per month thereafter. They have some great looking originals. Some are in 4K SDR, as well.

I plan to temporarily subscribe to Netflix to watch S2 and S3 of Lost in Space.

I also plan to temporarily subscribe to Paramount+ (once all of the Picard eps. are available and binge watch them and the other ST streaming only shows).

I always videotape "Red Eye Sci Fi" on MeTV and just started rewatching ST-DS9 on H&I on a LPDTV station.

I didn't expect churn to be that high. I thought it'd be like 10-20% at most.

April must be a good month for Birthdays, I just had one and I'm holding at 69. Spent it here at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, went to Lago for dinner. Had a Big Beefeaters Martini up Olives with my Cioppino....Cheers!

Happy Birthday, alchav!

You must have been "holding at 69" for some time now as that would mean that you were just 15 when you started your tour of duty in the Army.

Pretty impressive to have a high school diploma AND some college completed by the age of 15.

C'mon now; how old are you really? Do we need to Carbon 14 date you? Did you need a fire permit to light the candles on your cake?

Star Trek Director's Edition is live on Paramount+ and it looked and sounded great! It's in 4K DV / Atmos. We'll get the 4K disc in September, so for now, it's an official P+ exclusive.

A post at the Digital Bits about Star Trek Director's Edition here.

Noteworthy for me, Cat People coming to UHD BD from Shout. I will be real interested to see how well they handle the sound track. The Dolby Stereo (Surround) on the DVD is quite good, the BD and streaming versions might as well be in mono.

Got my tickets for Doctor Strange 2 in Dolby Cinema and The Northman, also in Dolby Cinema. I might watch The Ambulance in IMAX this weekend, but am not sure yet.

I’m looking forward to The Northman.

Will pick up the 4K disc of Ambulance, not bothered about catching that one at cinema.

I'm a cat person. Scream Factory should give all of us cat people a hefty discount on this title.

Bragging that you own a HDX digital copy in light of the news of a 4K disc release is like me bragging that I own it on DVD. My DVD and your silly ephemeral digital copy won't be able to hold a candle to the 4K disc.
