That's not what the post means - they just mean that the new restoration will be released in theaters this Summer. Of course a 4K release seems basically certain but this social post is not indicative of that.

You’re probably right, I didn’t realize that theatrical showings didn’t already happen alongside IE.

Because they don't always post new announcements or acquisitions that way? That's their official Twitter account, if they say they have it they have it. That doesn't mean it's getting a 4k disc but it's pretty obvious at this point it is.

I think it's pretty safe to say they're going to debut it in 4k. Putting out a regular disc would be weird with Mulholland Drive just getting an upgrade. Of course anything is possible...but again, I think it's an easy guess it's happening.

What do you think them tweeting a 4K coming this Summer could mean other than a 4K coming this Summer? .. There's no way they would post that if they intended to only do a BD release.

Well of course, but then for them to call attention to it and then go "oh actually just regular Blu" after upgrading Mulholland Drive would be an unusual move.
