Well then wouldn’t Arkham Origins Blackgate count too then? Or the Assault On Arkham movie?

how Rocksteady didn't make Arkham Origins... WB Games did and it was not as good as the Rocksteady games. It is the complete Rocksteady games collection.

Yeah. I enjoy the story of Origins a good bit cuz it's a lot of fun but it's obviously not a Rocksteady game. It's off. It feels off. Yes, it's the same world. BUT unlike Asylum, City, and Knight... you can tell it's a whole different beast in the details. Fans followed the Arkham series cuz of Rocksteady once Asylum happened. A lot of fans knew it wasn't a legit part of the series cuz the series was Rocksteady.

This.

I'm bored of the 'Rocksteady didn't develop it' rebuttal. It's still the third entry in the series, a main pillar, canonical prequel which keeps getting treated like the red-headed step-child of the family.

I was disappointed about how they handled Black Mask and having to constantly traverse that damn bridge, otherwise Origins was quite good.

I actually preferred Origins to both City and Knight, Asylum is still my favourite but I would love a remaster of Origins to come out.

Blackgate was ok but certainly wasn’t great, I don’t see any reason why that couldn’t be remastered too for those that didn’t get the chance to play it, it’s Batman so I’m sure it would sell enough to justify it.

It's not just a different developer it's a different take on Batman. Batman has a drastically different voice actor and personality. Whether you like Origins or not (I personally do) it definitely feels like a different series. I always thought of it as a reboot, not a prequel.

Origins doesn't feel like a different series at all. At most it might feel like it came after Asylum, but before City in terms of refinement of game mechanics. Seems like the graphics might be a slight step back from City too. I'd buy the argument that it feels a little like an attempt to copy Rocksteady on a tighter budget, but it's miles better than the PS3 Capt Am game that quite clearly did the same. Most people who didn't like origins were set against it the moment they heard Rocksteady wasn't doing it. At worst it wasn't great enough to overcome such preset bias. But, it seems most who didn't go in expecting the worst, it was a much better experience.

Personally I loved Origins! Not as much as City, but definitely more than Asylum, which was a much smaller game. Not sure which I prefer between Origins and Knight. Really wish they'd put out Origins on PS4, as it and The Force Unleashed (1and2) are about the only reasons I keep the PS3 around.

As if Arkham Knight is provided solely via a downloadable code. This is basically a repackaged Return to Arkham. Lazy!

The VR game wouldn't be the same with pad controls, it needs Move controls because each controller is a hand; the way you manipulate the VR world needs you to use your hands; how would that work with a single controller?

City - Arkham - VR - Knight

You can't really do combat in VR, but I would gladly play a lengthier detective style story game in VR. The Batcave is awesome as are the character holograms.

Origins is awesome, that white batman suit. It is indeed better than knight, the story in origins is well told and the Christmas atmosphere made me happily think of returns.

I saw this 2 pack collection of games I already own for PS4 for $9.99. Still too expensive. Arkham Asylum is great. Arkham City was interesting. Arkham Knight really opened up the map and flight, and offered a batmobile, in a sadly empty city.

I hope Gotham Knights offers actual citizens on the streets. But what'll happen is everyone will be asleep in their homes, as it looks like everything takes place in the early morning darkness.
That's still better than porting all the citizens on buses out of the entire city, which is kind of ridiculous. Not once, but twice. Was Origins like that too I wonder?

The 'Arkham Collection', ie all 3 games (Asylum, City & Knight) and their DLCs, is currently 80% off on the UK PSN at £9.99 and 90% off on the US store, just $5.99 (on sale until 27th or early 28th Sept, depending on time zone).
An insane price for the 3 games.
