EDIT: Ari Meirov who is reporting on this is a Jets Twitter guy, might have legs especially since Deebo was spotted in East Rutherford, NJ yesterday.

ugh. I get that Kyle and John play it shrewd but sometimes it may be too shrewd. Should've gotten a deal done ASAP to avoid the crazy market boom.
I did see his "oh ok then" tweet, didn't know what it was in regards to. I get wanting to get a deal done but this unfollowing, changing pics, deleting posts on social media is some high school crap.

Unfortunately, that's the way players are these days...that's the type of stuff they pull regardless of who it is it seems.

Agreed. The fact that they’re still hanging on to Jimmy (and his contract for now) while this is going on makes it all the more frustrating. Plus, they still have Bosa to deal with. I do think Marathe will get it done, but it’s not a good look.

Of course Twitter is abuzz with trade rumors but that had been going on for weeks now. Niners aren't trading him, thats just silliness. He is still under contract and as annoying as this is, there's no need to panic, there's a ton of time left to get something done. One of my favorite Niner beat writers said, and I think this is best approach for now, he won't even pay attention to any of this until training camp starts.

Niners haven't had a dominant WR since TO. Not only that he is a swiss army knife utility player that Kyle loves and they have spent years developing. There are a lot of great WR out there but there is only one Deebo and he isn't going anywhere.
This social media crap is the lowest level of stance players can take with these contract issues and I am sure agents have a hand in it. I am sure he looks around and sees the WR boom right now and gets frustrated but Kyle and John say they want to get a deal done and I am sure they will.
The only way I would see them trading him is if they drafted another generational WR, but they don't have a first round pick this year to do that, and were good with the rest of the WR corp (Aiyuk is good and getting better but he is not Deebo) Plus any team trading for him would have to give up a lot do so.

They definitely would have at minimum 1 first round pick if they end up trading Deebo.

Also, first round picks aren't really that great track history wise for WRs. Tyreek, Lockett, DK, Diggs, Scarry Terry, Aj Brown, Deebo etc were all drafted outside the first round. Just some food for thought.

I don't see Deebo getting moved unless the Jets pull a Mike Ditka.

agreed. they have already spent years developing him, everyone loves him and there aren't any other players like him right now. All why its so crazy to think they would trade him. It would take a kings ransom or they would have to be in rebuild mode and they are not there. Lots of downtime until the draft so I get why this is getting more attention than it should.

1 of the reasons is starting this yr & ramping up next yr when the new tv deals kick in abc is gonna be showing more MNF games.
They should put the manningcast on espn then on those nights.
