Everything you saw in the PV are rendered in real time in UE4. However, development is moving to UE5 so this footage is being discarded.
When the team sent Nomura the video of the forest, he thought, "Why are you sending me live-action footage?"

Very little “interaction” from the player & what is, is mostly “on-rails”

That said, graphics should be better on UE5.

As long as Nomura doesn't end up directing another major project at the same time, say Final Fantasy XV-2 (unlikely yeah, but who knows ) then getting fired halfway through, we should hope for some consistency.
