If anyone is interested the SFM files are available at the following servers.

http://sonycoment-3.vo.llnwd.net/tro...30_00/TROP.SFM

You just need to replace NPWR00630_00 with the ID for the game. I don't think any of the available games ever exceeded an id of 699, but who knows.

You can also check the trophy icons from this server as well. The main icon is avialable at:

http://sonycoment-9.vo.llnwd.net/tro...0_00/ICON0.PNG

and the icons for the individual trophies are available at:

http://sonycoment-3.vo.llnwd.net/tro...00/TROP001.PNG

The 001 is replaced with the id for the trophy found in the SFM file.

I found all this information in the following thread on another site.

http://www.psu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151499

I think the reason Sony has started encrypting all this was because they were scared that someone would start to use a packet sniffer combined with some packet injection methods to trick the trophy system when doing a sync.

so they would come up with a way to trick the system into giving them all trophies they didnt really earn? i dont know what a packet sniffer is...

A packet sniffer tracks all the data going across your network. It could detect the XML file being sent to the Sony servers and modify it.

Basically he means that someone could intercept incoming data packets from a trophy sync, then change the packet data to whatever they want (in this case, changing it to have added trophies that they didn't earn).

EDIT: Awe too slow.

thanks, i figured it had something to do with that, i understand encrypting them to prevent people from doing that, but that is just soooo sad that people would actually use backdoor computer tools to steal game trophies that have no actual value other than bragging rights, unbelieveable

I think that Sony wants to make them secure in order to make them more than just bragging rights. I heard some time ago about linking it to Home with giving higher level'd members advantages.

I thought it was pretty cool that they'll let you display your earned trophies in your space on HOME.

No I don't think they've added it yet. I was on about a month ago with no sign of it. But they talked about bringing that in. Not sure when/of it'll ever happen.

It would be nice if they could get Home out of beta with all the promised features before they started saturating it with 'premium' DLC stuff.

Really, you'd rather pay a subscription for PSN than for premium content for Home to exist already?

It's unobtrusive to the rest of the PSN service so why knock it?
