It's not an allegory, it's a bit more literal than that, but I don't want to give too much story away. It's a B movie and how you see this movie depends on how important the 3D experience is to you and how good you think the 3D actually is.

Pretty much everything from the Bronze Age is a B movie in all ways but budget, so I'm not sure what that means

Hopefully I'll appreciate the 3D, I like these Golden Age films the filmmaking philosophy from then of letting a scene unfold seems to make for better 3D. When I watched the first half of Taza, it was refreshing to see scenes play out, instead of being peppered with quick cuts and a frenetic camera.

I disagree with that sweeping statement. It's a similar take to the 3D conversion can never be better than native. It also reminds me a little of Scorsese's opinion of the MCU which when read in context shows a fundamental bias. I was going to say he misunderstands the MCU but he's Scorsese so I think he understands better than I ever could. But I also think he dislikes the modern craft and it doesn't help that he can't get studios to finance his movies for the cinema anymore.

I see B movies, I see bronze age films, and for the most part there's no difference. Besides budget, and perhaps acting more familiar to today's audiences, what separates a popcorn flick like all true MCU films from B flicks?

Next down would be A TURTLE’S TALE 2 and ROBINSON CRUSOE, second tier in terms of an involving story but still quite good on that level and the 3D is fantastic — TT2 has an absolutely mindboggling chase sequence. You’ll know it when you see it. Last for me would be THE QUEEN’S CORGI, which has a terrible script IMO but definitely not boring and again the 3D is stupendous. CHICKENHARE AND THE HAMSTER OF DARKNESS I obviously haven’t seen yet, but I have it on preorder and am super stoked about it!
Thanks. A Turtle's Tale and Corgi are on their way. Preordered Chickenhare this past week and already own the others. Looking forward to discovering new region B stuff, especially animated ones.

Phases 1 to 3 have proper character development through fully fledged character arcs leading to emotional attachment by the audience.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Medium to Strong

Pros
- Good depth
- A few pop-outs
- Renders over black bars
- That casino mice

Cons
- Lost opportunities for pop-outs (I like weapons popping out)
- Uneven 3D rendering -- some scenes are too mid, some are quite strong but I find it just flipping more than usual in this movie than others

Movie
It's a nice story of how the Guardians got assembled. The tone is more comedic compared to other more serious-toned MCU movies. Was that Howard the Duck in one scene?

Just being picky, but I believe his onscreen debut was the 1986 stinker Howard the Duck.

That isn't MCU nor is in 3D.

Final chapter is a conversion (which is fine) but the reviews are bad.

I liked it thought the 3D was good and finished the story. Also got a great looking steelbook.

No, but Howard the Duck is in the MCU now so it's fair enough to refer to him as an MCU character.
