What you guys aren't realizing is the battery life is worse on the psp go. 3-6 hours is the life when using umd's on the present psp not when playing off the memory card. The psp go is umdless so obviously they needed to use a much smaller battery since the handheld itself is smaller...

My PSP only gets about 5 hours playing off the internal memory reader.

I only get 2-3 hours tops using the UMD. If it matters I have the 2000 series.

I'm not sure where the question is in the difference in price...go price 16 gig memory sticks. That alone nearly makes up the difference in cost, even if you buy an ultra-cheap version.

Bleh I have no reason to want a 16 GB memory stick, especially since I don't know how to move digital copies onto my PSP.

A PSP Go without a significantly sized memory stick is completely and utterly useless.

I suppose they could have included a 4 or 8 gig version instead, but most people would be pissed off that that doesn't hold enough...and it still would cost more than a PSP-3000.

16gb holds anywhere from 10-20 games on average look at the file size for newer games on psn...Sony is banking on people buying the more mobile mass market friendly games ala iPhone.

I never had problem with the battery life of the 3000 but I expected more from the Go...

I guess it means you double your play time using digital games vs using UMD games.

So if anyone prefers the longer usage time and battery is of such concern to them .. I guess the UMD route is making less sense and digital is the way to go. Now do you want the light version with blu-tooth integration or the heavy version without.

With my PSP2000 I usually have to bring a power cable with me anyway, so its not that big of a deal if/when I upgrade to PSPgo.
