Adding on to this post from last month: Unless it was a sleazy practice from Buyoyo where they marked it as shipped and provided a tracking number a month in advance, or the package was lost for a month, (both of which I doubt) my surface mail package only just left Hong Kong 1 month after it was placed in the Hong Kong postal system. The other day tracking finally updated and reads "Handed over to carrier / Left for destination".

Guess I'll see it in another couple months!

It's probably a legit delay. I've had packages shipped via services like DHL and FedEx from the mainland. I'm lucky if I receive them within two weeks, and this is in a country that's explicitly aiming for zero COVID cases! Hong Kong is aiming for that too, and may be about to become an extension of the mainland in that regard (i.e., mass testing and such). I wouldn't anticipate any mail arriving quickly, even if you're using express services.

I placed an order on 1-05 and still hasnt shipped, but the seller (from HK) was very upfront as soon as I placed the order. I'm cool with it and it'll be a suprise when it gets here

Yeah so often with me too over the last two years, airmail, ems too. Sits at Hong Kong for a week or three before leaving.

Just to add another data point, I ordered from DDDHouse on 1/13 and received my package on 2/11, so just about 4 weeks exactly from HK to the eastern US.

Has anyone received anything shipped surface yet? Still waiting on this 1/14 order, 2/14 "Handed over to carrier / Left for destination" and nothing 2.5 months later. Hopefully it shows up within the next month or so?

My 1/15 shipped order showed up in HK Postal system on 2/22 marked as "Left for destination". US can't track it anymore. Finally got the movie early May.
