A weekend post with no obvious Buffy relevance that I can see, the world thanks you

Using "Ave Maria" in movies (and television shows) has become such a damn cliche. I'm sick of it. It's not cool, edgy, hip, and it doesn't matter if it's used ironically. It's overused and needs to stop.

Back in the '90s, it was James Brown's "I Feel Good"...

She's become one of my favourite actress because of her work on Veronica Mars. I will admit I have enjoyed most of her comedies but she should of been a bigger star. Hated A bad Mom's Christmas.

The ignore list is such a waste of time because when other quote the people you have on ignore you'll see their posts.

It was used well in The Batman. In Avengers: Age of Ultron it could have been any song.

You missed 'public domain' from your list, and I suspect that's a biggie when it comes to selection.

Is that unpopular?

How about this, Marvel needs to stop putting rock songs in inappropriate places. Examples:

Thor Ragnarok-- the Immigrant Song
Eternals - that Pink Floyd song
Guns and Roses (forgot the movie)
It needs to stop!

Crazy talk. That was one of the best moments in the whole MCU.

I hated it in Ragnorock. It took me out of the movie. It's grown on me but it was jarring on first viewing.

Completely out of place and if I had the gear and knowledge, I would remux it right out of my blu-ray. It was the most disappointing moment in the entire MCU aside from Iron-spider-man.

Didn't really fit well in the beginning of the film with Surtur though........

It kinda did take the latter moment's thunder away. (yes, pun intended)

that's true but ignore lists have other perks.

I have about 25 people on ignore--- I don't remember the reason why on most. By seeing a post from an ignore list member it reminds me not to engage with them. We've either argued in an unpleasant way or they said something political that angered me. I'd rather not "get into it" again if I can help it..

If I put people on ignore for political shit that I disagreed with, I think I'd have to ignore some of my favorite people on this board.

Finally got around to screening the Luc Besson "classic" LEON: THE PROFESSIONA with my kids...

I guess my unpopular opinion is that my household found it to be a steaming pile of crap...

Given how well regarded the movie is, I guess my even more unpopular opinion is that you have to have some strong pedo tendencies to even defend this ridiculous film.

Not a good leg to stand on, to imply that those who like the film have pedo tendencies. Like some say when someone smells a fart in the room, "smeller's the feller".
