Unfollowed them on social media and whatnot, this "trolling" of customers comes across as bizarrely tone deaf and petty. Or maybe just like their release of that incel documentary, it's some kind of joke I don't get.

Shame, I was willing to part with money for their Men Behind the Sun releases, but out of sheer principle I won't now. Ordered the HK release today instead.

🤡

Also I don't think AGFA is gonna put out the CNT stuff. They aren't just allowed to put out any SOV stuff.
Jungle Trap/Run Coyote Run? Boardinghouse?

But yeah they're being absolute knobs.

Did they have money in that documentary? maybe they're just annoyed no one wants to buy it

I mean SOV rights are like film rights. I don't think AGFA is gonna release any of the SOV stuff that Massacre did. It's possible of course but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think the owner of MV just has a crush on her. He's always posting stuff in instagram stories about her. Or at least used to. Don't see the account acting that way about any other director.

I remember listening to a podcast last summer where they interviewed the guy (Jesse?) from DiabolikDVD. He mentioned Severin and Massacre shared an office, literally you could walk across the floor into the other label's office space. But I believe Severin moved this year.

Massacre is one of those labels where I wonder why I pre-ordered. It's not like their stuff is going to sell out quickly. I think the lesson is to only order when they have items in-stock and shipping. There's really no benefit for the consumer in buying it early from what I can tell.

I just don't think there's harm, or any reason NOT, to manage customer expectations. Unearthed list "COMING SOON" with a rough guide (LATE 2022, or something) and then update people when they have specs and a more specific goal ("going to the replicators"). Massacre will post a SM update in September saying "in the next few months!" then nothing will happen. They really hate their own fans, it seems.

And Severin, while they have problems (like the annual server crash for the sale), they always are up front and talk to customers about what the problem is.

So much this. I see something like "limited to 1,000" and immediately panic. This was my first time pre-ordering from them and it'll definitely be my last. None of those are gonna sell out any time soon.

The ironic thing (and I know I've mentioned this before) is that I could not give less of a toss about the slipcases.

I am so glad I held off on ordering Hard Gore and Andrea Palmer until I knew they'd be in stock and shipping out.

How are they lately at fulfilling orders when things are actually in stock? I remember years ago there were lots of complaints here about unfulfilled orders and ignored emails. Is it still the crapshoot it sounded like then?

I ordered something on a Friday and got the next Thursday. Not too bad.

Same. The one other time I ordered from them I got it pretty quickly.

So the moral is just never pre-order from them.

Fun fact: this worked. In just over a week. I'm worried about what that means for my memory.

Might have to grab hardgore next pay day, but at the same time would probably only ever watch it once. The print just looks incredibly clean for a movie of this caliber. Albeit, those are probably curated screenshots on the shop page as well.

Don't expect a reply regarding emails. There may be a reply, but it is unlikely.

My first order with them was for stuff that was in stock and it took about ten days to get shipped out. It was in the height of the pandemic in Sumer 2020 and I think that was when they only had one guy handling orders, so I was fine with the wait. It came well packaged and nothing was damaged in transit despite it shipping internationally.

I think most of my other orders have had a pre-order or a backordered item, so they took a bit longer.

I pre-ordered from them when Malakhaal and Toxic Zombies first went up because they had a few leftover copies of one of their sold out LEs in stock, and I needed to hit the $100 limit to get free shipping. That wait was absolutely brutal.
