I'll second the SXRD... I feel that they are the best bang for your buck sets. I sold my dad one and he really enjoys it. I'm an LCD fan myself, but only because I can't get over the bulb aspect. I have a Samsung LCD, but my next one will most likely be a Sony, although I will give Sammy a look. Sony sets seem to have a better processor and faster response times, although on the spec sheets the Sony and Samsungs look identical. If you get a Samsung set, make sure you have the ability to turn off the DNIe. Even if you like the picture with it on, you'll appreciate the ability to turn it off if you would like.
