So 12 Monkeys 4k is ****ed up and needing a replacement disc.
Didn't they just **** up Henry 4k as well...
Fortunately I don't buy any Arrow 4k upon release.
Clearly they cannot be trusted to get the 1st batch right, you have to wait.

Same error too of a scene repeating later on in the movie. Very strange.

While I do agree it's annoying and frustrating, it isn't something exclusive to Arrow. Nowadays, it's kind of the norm actually, I'm seeing more and more labels drop the ball with QC and afterwards, having them set up these replacement programs. I'm not justifying any of this though, just pointing out that this currently seems to happen regularly with different labels. Anyway, at least they're addressing the issue and offering a solution (which doesn't always happen).
As for your last point, yes pretty much. Unless I know it will sell out quickly or it's some sort of holy grail or something I just wait for reviews.

I know its other labels too. Why I generally avoid pre-ordering any new release.

Jesse Nelson from Diabolik DVD dropped this little hint under Dawn of the Disc's post about Umbrella's upcoming release of Ghoulies I and II:

I think it's very likely to be Arrow. Could be part of the EMP Box clue, or GBOX, or even G X's 3 from Fran's hint sheet. BarnDoor did mention it could be coming from Vinegar Syndrome instead, but either way, it looks like these are coming back in print in the US.

edit: Looking like it may be VinSyn, and possible UHD too!

If they include the TV versions and such, I'll probably double dip. I still haven't watched the SF release yet (waiting for the third film to hit BD).

What films might Arrow include in a Empire Box? The MGM ones (Dolls, From Beyond, etc)? I'd think Re-Animator would get a standalone 4K UHD release.

Amazing…my friend and I were just chatting about Ghoulies yesterday and how we missed out on the SF release. I feel like we opened some sort of portal that pushed these movies forward. You’re welcome, internet.

Yaaaaas! I'm glad Arrow or Vinegar Syndrome are willing to go down the crapper. The Ghoulies films are unbelievably stupid, but they're so enjoyable and fun and the FX is the type of work that they just don't make anymore.

The Ghoulies films are almost certainly part of the Empire Pictures set Arrow seems to be working on. It's scheduled for December.

I think a megaset with Ghoulies, Prison, Troll,Terrorvision, From Beyond, Dolls, etc and then broken down into smaller sets and single releases throughout next year. (The "major celebration" Fran was teasing for 2023)

If Arrow is putting out the Empire Pictures box, They'll probably toss in Re-Animator in the big set as it was theatrically released by Empire International Pictures.

I'll gladly take from either Arrow or Vinegar Syndrome, but I have a feeling the latter will end up releasing it.

Anything's possible but the circumstantial evidence points to Arrow doing a big Empire Pictures boxset. I'd be surprised if I'm reading the tea leaves wrong but it's been known to happen.

All the Empire Pictures titles from Scream Factory went out of print.

Fran releases a 2022 teaser with EMP Boxset slated for a December release. (Just in time for Christmas!)

Ballyhoo Pictures who've produced numerous feature length documentaries for Arrow are putting final touches on a documentary called Empire Pictures: Celluloid Wizards in the Video Wasteland. They told contributors to their kickstarter campaign that it was being released by a major label. It was also hinted that it could be broken down into a series of "smaller" documentaries.

Fran also talked about submitting some kind of a documentary to the fall film festivals. I could see Cinema Wasteland screening at major genre festivals like Fantasia or even a sidebar at Toronto?

Arrow has also started to release new titles from the MGM library. (and they are also former Scream Factory titles)

Brian Yuzna who produced several of these (those directed by Stuart Gordon) has a very good relationship with Arrow.

Another insider is telling people not to import Ghoulies/Ghoulies II as there will be a new R1 release in the near future. The first two Ghoulies were produced by Empire Pictures.

Fran's hinting at a major anniversary/celebration project to run over the course of 2023.

Charles Band (who founded Empire Pictures) has recently signed a licensing deal with Arrow for their streaming service for most of the Full Moon Features catalogue. All the Puppetmaster films etc are under the recently added section of Arrow-Player. This suggests that Band and Arrow have a recent and active relationship.

Would like a release of Ghoulies III and IV since I have the Scream Factory double feature.

I'd love to take a little advantage of some OOP prices to fund whatever is coming so I'm happy I can list the Ghoulies set now and sock it away for down the line. I'd love a confirm of SOMETHING that is def. coming back, like Dolls or something so I can list it now, but it's too up in the air.

I don't know about the rest of the films you mentioned, but we do know for certain the Ghoulies films are coming. I would list them and sell them now because they will lose their value once Arrow or more likely, Vinegar Syndrome releases them once again.

I like what Arrow is doing with their slasher slipcovers. The back cover for Girls Nite Out reminds me of an old Thorn-Emi VHS rental tape. Looks great. Like the spot gloss and slight embossing of the title on the front cover too. Artwork is OK but I always prefer the original posters.

Agreed. I'm liking what Arrow have done with the slipcovers/exclusive slipcovers of slasher titles. Quantity doesn't always mean quality, but I'm quite happy with the amount of interview extras on Arrow's Blu-ray release of Girls Nite Out. I love the scent on new releases (especially with the quality slipcovers).

I can't recall if there are any slashers left which are hinted at in the abbreviation list, so I don't want to get my hopes up.

I know there was some issue with the artwork on the side spines of Arrow's Vengeance Trails boxset, but I still want to get a copy (also hope to eventually get a copy of the Rogue Cops and Racketeers set and pre-order the gialli boxset announced a couple of weeks ago (not forgetting slasher Hell High).

I posted this bit in the Vinegar Syndrome thread but I'm repeating the information here.

Quote:
Girls Nite Out is such a labor of love that folks from three different labels came together to make this release happen: Vinegar Syndrome, Severin Films, and, of course, Arrow Video. With only beaten, battered release prints to work from – and even a tiny smattering of standard definition video inserts – it's remarkable that Girls Nite Out looks this terrific.
This is from the DVDTalk review of the film. I don't know if this was mentioned elsewhere.
