I think that a lot can be derived from a full trailer, but the footage here looks pretty vague and basic. I don't agree that it 'looks so good.' Which doesn't mean that it looks bad, merely that a teaser has the luxury of not being required to show all the potentially awful stuff like bad dialogue, bland characters, implausible plot development, anti-climactic endings.

It's easy manufacturing an attention-grabbing teaser like they've done here. Just show 3 red dots appearing out of nowhere, accompanied by familiar Predator sounds and we're sold.

Granted, they seem to be trying something a bit different and possibly a back to basics approach, so we can be hopeful but if the Shane Black flick was announced by a first teaser which was as spartan as this one, chances are we'd have been just as delighted.

Well since the last 79 Predator movies have been awful it isn't quite a leap to be cautious about this one.

I don't have high hopes, because it's a streaming movie. The modern equivalent of DTV sequels like Road House 2 and I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

If it's good and I enjoy it, then great! I'm a fan of the franchise, so I will definitely give it a chance.

There have only been four in the main series and two in the AVP spin-offs. I’m not saying that any of the sequels are great, but the only ones that are unwatchably bad are 4 and AVP R.

This deserves more credit simply for trying something different rather than knocking out the same movie over and over. I'm more interested in a Hulu streaming movie than I am in a new James Cameron movie.
