Any possibility of a blu-ray release? I know it got a hd upgrade on streaming.

When this aired back in the day, in the UK it was shown on Saturday evenings, amongst a schedule that included:

Lois & Clark
SeaQuest DSV
Baywatch
MacGyver

L&C is the only one now waiting for a blu release. C’mon WBs, make it happen!

I remember those Saturday evenings well, never understood why they renamed it to just The New Adventures of Superman on the Beeb. Also Baywatch has all those music edits on BD, I'd consider it if it was original audio.

I never got the name change either. Bizarre…

I have the DE Baywatch set, that includes all the original edits, albeit in SD, but better than nothing, and that aside the HD master itself is quite pleasing

I own all of those on Blu-ray. If I just had Lois & Clark too, I could recreate those Saturday evenings.

They changed the title because Lois & Clark was a play on Lewis and Clark, two famous American explorers from the early 19th century. It was thought that British audiences, not familiar with Lewis and Clark, wouldn't get the joke.

PS I bought Baywatch solely for the eye candy. The music I can take or leave.

Lois & Clark is available on Prime in HD. I picked up the first season a few weeks back and it’s not bad. I’d definitely pick up a blu release, but until then the stream is sufficient.

Being in Ireland, I can't purchase the show on Prime.

Absolutely. You definitely shouldn’t grab the inevitable HD rips that will be available at the usual nefarious places.

But even then we knew the names Lois and Clarke at least from the 70s/80s Superman movies, and the show concentrated on their romance.

More importantly, it's the 30th anniversary year in WB's 100th anniversary year....

They did say there'd be classic WBs shows new to blu ray this year. Fingers crossed.
