I've bought these movies several times, but I can't see myself buying them again. I have all 5 on blu, 4k and digital. Sometimes enough is enough.

No, the grading is exactly the same.

I bought the Studio Canal 1-3 UHD's off Zavvi in a Christmas sale and felt all three were a very noticeable upgrade in motion to the Lionsgate discs. I know some of the other LG UHD encodes are crappy but these were the worst offenders, especially 2. I don't watch Red Heat or Lock-Up enough to warrant a rebuy there and from what I read Lock-Up is the same encode (?) as the UK disc anyway...even if it's not I'll live with it. The Rambo discs I get a lot of replayability out of especially the original.

Crazy as it may sound I would still buy these again if they were given another remaster WITH the original 2.0 audio. There's room for improvement yet!

Other people in the thread were disappointed with the hdr making me wonder if they were graded good.

I bought the 4Kult Eagle release of Rambo 3, but didn’t realise it comes with no special features. I guess the commentary is the only thing I am really missing of interest.

If I had to replace the US UHD's of all three with the UK Discs what special features would I miss?

AFAIK the special features are all the same between the UK and US releases, so long as you are buying the UHD/Blu-Ray combo packs, since the special features are mostly on the Blu-Rays and not the UHDs. The only thing you miss if you buy the UK discs are a second or two of horse falls in Rambo III. That was a tradeoff I could live with for the better compression/encoding of the UK releases.

If you already have the US editions, simply put the US BDs in with the UK editions unless you are region free. That way you can play the extras.

The encode is apparently the same on Rambo III, minus the horse falls. So it’s a decent enough one on both sides of the Atlantic, it’s the first two (especially the second movie) that are greatly improved on the UK UHDs.

And the Italian 4Kult of FIRST BLOOD is even better than the UK edition, am I correct?
