I just ordered The Barefoot Contessa from Amazon UK for £12.85. It's on an "temporarily out of stock" status and I don't know whether they will come up with any copies, but it's worth a shot for that price!

Irongod is hinting at something big that will be announced soon. I'm assuming that it's either going to be a 4K UHD release of Police Story 1 and 2, or a Angela Mao boxset.

Police Story 1 and 2 and Project A 1 and 2 plus Drunken Master could really do with a update. Commentaries would be nice plus i need the Old Drunken Master Dub!

I wonder if Michelle Yeohs old film will start getting so more love because of her recent success.

Since some folk seem to have a good insight into what Hong Kong titles are forthcoming - any chance of any Patrick Tam or more Tsui Hark?

I managed to see Tsui's The Lovers the other day (in average quality) and it is staggeringly beautiful. Sorely in need of a HD upgrade.

Seems like it would make a great set with Tsui's Love in the Time of Twilight, which also has Nicky Wu and Charlie Yeung. Both owned by Golden Harvest, I believe.

I'd kill for a Detective Dee set, including the second and third films in 3D - it's criminal that there was no English-friendly 3D Blu-ray release of the last Detective Dee film and the second one is very hard to get hold of now too.

Green Snake's had a HD remaster recently (unfortunately with some modern revisions, apparently), could be one for Eureka?

Only issue is the practical effects have been replaced with CGI, but yes, I'd still be interested to see if Eureka can get it. Perhaps they could include the original master in some form (as an alternate cut)?

Its crazy how few of his films are available. The Butterfly Murders, We're Going to Eat You and Dangerous Encounters of the First Kind really need decent Blu Ray releases.

Just got the Viy limited edition from the local CeX, for a good price and in pretty good condition (except for those damn stickers they put on).

I remember watching Viy last year a couple of weeks before it was announced by Eureka. From memory I was lukewarm on it. Hope I like it more on a second viewing.

Any opinions on the second film in the set? It looks quite interesting.
