In past sales, stuff that was released in the last 6 months were excluded from the 50% off sale. The set was released on December 7th so I would not expect it to be on sale. So the earliest it will be on sale is during the Black Friday sale (if they even decide to discount the set).

Anyone know when the Vinegar Syndrome site goes down exactly?

I have a number in mind I don’t want to spend over. I know the checklist stays up, but it’s helpful when the site is up and I can see all the MSRP prices and work out what the sale prices will be from there. I want to say for the Black Friday sale the site went down at least a day or two before the sale, but it might have been even longer.

Also, I think there’s a typo about the upcoming Severin sale in the OP. It says it goes from 6/10-5/30. I think it’s supposed to be from 6/10-6/13 unless I am misunderstanding something.

Dr727, thank you so much for that information- and remembering that I like extras!! Money is pretty tight now (stretched myself a little just to put that order in), but after I watch the series - assuming I enjoy it as much as Department S - I just might get some of those DVDs.

I am noticing a trend of dropping DVD extras on bluray releases. Even WAC is now doing this. Very frustrating for me. I really hate to have 2 releases taking up shelf space for one movie. Generally I sell/donate the DVD when I get the bluray. I know some buy 2 disc cases to solve this - and I may do that for some. Shame this is where we are heading.

In recent years they have usually started it the Friday before July 4. Most the earlier years it was the 1st/2nd Tuesday in July after July 4

My guess for this year July 1 -- again assuming the Criterion Sale will continue to exist at BN
