These are 4K native titles getting the MOD treatment. A Saw collection would require actual money and effort to remaster 2-7.

Do you think they're just being slopped onto a 4K disc simply because they're native, or do you think the standard BDs sold well for them too?

Lionsgate doesn't have a whole lot going on theatrically lately, hence all the steelbook re-releases and these MOD titles.

Or perhaps the ol' Lion is doing these steelbook releases to appeal to collectors as they know that they probably don't have much else interesting titles to be newly released on the format. Can't wait for the inevitable Van Wilder steel!

Just tested it and it has HDR (unlike Gamer & The Kid).

I purchased The Kid 4K before I knew about no HDR for it as well. I hope Barb and Star has HDR as my wife really wants it. Lionsgate is a joke on these $19.99 4K's. They can't even have them available on release day.
