90's thriller, not chiller.

Wait, did my comment get removed? Am I going crazy lol? It’s not a secret that they have rights for Night Ripper and Streets of Death, as they announced it on their Facebook almost exactly a year ago. Weird…

It's also always been noted in the first post here since then.

Doesn't the sock account guy post in here? Maybe you replied to one of his posts and your post was collateral damage when his got deleted.

Hey JBene, any chance Culture Shock might be interested in licensing/releasing The Lord Protector: Riddle of the Chosen? It’s not unlike Game of Survival in tone (more fantasy, less sci-fi) and is a completely awesome, overlooked gem.

That is odd because the information has been out there for a while that CSR has the rights to both.

That didn't stop them releasing Hollywood's New Blood or Slashdance, or AGFA putting out Wicked World, all movies shot on film but existing now only as video. I'd take a decent VHS master rather than nothing.

Night Ripper is an absolute delight. Looking forward to the release even if I'll never part with my trusty VHS. It was the first Hathcock movie I saw, and, as it turns out, the only one I care for, let alone love.

Since Culture Shock has no qualms about releasing SOV flicks on Blu, I would be beyond thrilled if they'd do these some day:

Satan Place: A Soap Opera from Hell - incredibly obscure low-budget madness and one of my favorite anthologies. A crass, trashy tone, some hilarious characters and good effects for the budget (especially in the last story).
Spirits of Jupiter - a vanity project for Burt Gummer lookalike, Rex Cutter. Big Jim Drill battles through a world gone mad to save his kids. Contains the only ending I've ever seen where
[Show spoiler]the hero and villain basically shrug their shoulders during their conflict, like "I know you've tried to kill me repeatedly and tormented my children, but oh well. Have a good one."

Night Vision - makes a terrific double-bill with Disconnected. As one of a kind as that film would seem, to me, this one has always felt like it's spiritual soulmate. The lead is an annoying knob, but tolerable because of every other speck of weirdness permeating this thing.

CSR has the rights to Hathcock's STREETS OF DEATH as well.
