Question What’s a good consumer/prosumer 3D video camera these days?

Is there one?

I'm not currently in the market, so I don't know. Last I checked, stereoscopic cameras were being targeted more towards the "VR" market than the home/prosumer photographer/videographer.

I got a Vuze XR video camera some years ago for a particular project and was good for it and was happy with the purchase and results. Even used it a few more times just for personal fun, "set and forget" can get you some nice "B roll" footage in a party etc.

Recently updated my personal photo camera and was tempted for a while to go with the Canon R5, for which a stereoscopic (very) wide-angle lens exists, but at the end I went with a model by Sony instead, for which only beam splitter producing vertical side-by-side pictures exists, AFAIK.

I've only seen 3D cameras for the "entry level" market and some specific models addressing specific needs for the "high end professional market", mostly "VR", but not really anything in-between after the 3D video cameras of the likes of Panasonic stopped being produced several years ago right about the same time as 3D TV sets.

There aren't many to choose from, but the Kandao QooCam EGO is a recent one ( https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=347701 ). I can't tell you if it's good or not yet, I get mine on Tuesday (or so it seems).
