In terms of titles with a prior DVD release, my main MGM wants list is now down to this:

Town Without Pity (1960)
The Best Man (1964)
Halls of Anger (1970)
The Visitors (1972)
Slaughter's Big Rip-Off (1973)
Hennessy (1975)
The Private Files of J Edgar Hoover (1977)
That Championship Season (1982)
Seven Hours to Judgment (1988)
Crack House (1989)
Chains of Gold (1991)
Laws of Gravity (1992)

I've got a couple I wanted in this deal - Kill a Dragon and Number One with a Bullet, and I'm hoping for one more - but if I can chip 2 or 3 off each deal, I'm happy. So fingers crossed Kino might be interested in a few if and when they make another MGM deal.

There's still quite a few sci-fi and horror titles from the '50s and '60s at MGM ,too. That well is far from dry, even if not all the titles appeal to KLSC.

Kino Lorber Insider, would Kino ever have interest in releasing Ravagers (1979) starring Richard Harris? It was released on VHS by RCA Columbia, perhaps rights are with Sony?
I believe this has never gotten a disc release, akin to a film like Homebodies, which you did release, and though it is an obscure film, it is a post apocalyptic gem that I think could sell well.

A dumb question:

When ordering from Amazon-do these titles include the slipcovers or are they exclusive to ordering directly from KL only?

I ask because I haven’t gotten any of the slipcovered titles since they started doing them and only recently preordered a few from KL directly.

I usually get slipcovers on these titles from Amazon.

Preordered a bunch of stuff at these incredible prices. Thanks, B&N, for making Amazon's bots price match! I can't help but think some of these may go on sale for $9.99 via Kino at some point but it's OK. These are still great prices.

I looked him up on IMDb and apparently he had several successful LP albums that included 'blue' material in the vein of Redd Foxx but of course, in 1964 the studios still operated under the Hays Production Code so he had to clean up his act. However, in my opinion at least, anything with gorgeous Pamela Tiffin more than makes up for having to endure the crummy lounge act. She and Darren were also paired up previously the same year in Jack Arnold's The Lively Set from Universal which is a much better film.
In the late 1950's and early 1960's, my divorced mom and her friends had all of the Woody Woodbury albums. And, yes, they definitely contained "blue" humor. In fact, since I was anywhere from 8 to 11 years old when those albums existed, I never got most of the off-color jokes when the adults definitely laughed out loud.

So much that was even tangentially sexual was circumscribed in those days. Woody and Rusty Warren (KNOCKERS UP) were pretty progressive, given that era, not that long before FOR THOSE WHO THINK YOUNG was released. But so much changed so quickly in the 1960's (you definitely had to be there).

Even in California in the later 1960's, one could not readily buy visual publications featuring genitalia if it wasn't a "nudist" magazine where everyone was playfully bouncing around out of doors in the altogether. (Which reminds me of the M*A*S*H Korean War segment where Hawkeye asks Col. Potter to buy certain nudist titles for him in Japan, and Potter asks what he wants them for, and Hawkeye replies, "Only for the volleyball scores." But that was an era several years earlier, though nothing had changed.)

So, Woody's appearance in the film provides that adult presence who tries to keep the underage college kids from underage drinking when he launches into his "Woody weedin' time" cullling. (His stage routines, such as at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium at his peak, prominently featured alcohol-related jokes.) Having listened to the albums several times, trying to figure out why these were considered so titillating to adults, his appearance in the film was tame and low-key for him. But having been fully aware of his past, watching FOR THOSE WHO THINK YOUNG all these years later, having seen it in the theater when it debuted, I found his presence a knowing smile. I suspect that, at the time, his being in the cast might have been an additional lure to those who had been young when he was in his prime and wanted to have a look-see at this icon of expanded sexuality.

I'd rather pay $17.97 and shop direct than have Amazon mangle these just to save a little. Especially if you are concerned about slips and in good condition

Margaret Sullavan (Next Time We Love) stars in this deeply moving romantic drama by the great Frank Borzage (Bad Girl, A Farewell to Arms, Desire, Disputed Passage). Fired for marrying his sweetheart Emma (Sullavan) instead of his boss’s daughter, Hans (Douglass Montgomery, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) moves his pregnant wife to Berlin where he gets a job as a salesman. Dismissed for insulting a customer, Hans has only Emma’s love to sustain him as he seeks opportunity in a country where work is scarce and the Nazis are rising to power. Blending themes of politics and social crisis with love and compassion, this Pre-Code classic showcases one of cinema’s most impactful auteurs, Borzage, and a wonderful cast that includes Alan Hale (The Good Fairy), Fred Kohler (Goin’ to Town), Mae Marsh (Intolerance), Hedda Hopper (Skinner’s Dress Suit) and Paul Fix (The Ghost Breakers).

Margaret Sullavan (The Good Fairy) stars opposite James Stewart (Made for Each Other) in his first leading role in Next Time We Love, a captivating romantic drama co-starring Ray Milland (The Lost Weekend). When newlywed reporter Christopher Tyler (Stewart) is posted to Rome, his actress wife, Cicely (Sullavan), refuses to go with him, preferring to stay in New York. Devoting themselves to their thriving careers, they become increasingly estranged, seeing each other only in passing. When a longtime admirer (Milland) proposes she get a divorce and marry him instead, Cicely must decide what she loves most…her husband, friend or career. The heart-tugging story by Ursula Parrott (There’s Always Tomorrow) springs to life courtesy of director Edward H. Griffith (The Animal Kingdom) and writer Melville Baker (The Gilded Lily).
