As far a blu-ray, I really hope we finally get... Young Sherlock Holmes. But I don't think it's gonna happen. Has to be some sort of rights issue.

Nevada Smith .. is one of my favorite Steve Mcqueen films. More confident we get that out of the deal.

A SIMPLE PLAN won't be part of their 4K's since it never had a Blu-ray, FACE/OFF on the other hand is possible. Plus, that one really needs a new transfer.

They still have 14 4K titles to announce and 43 new to Blu-ray, so it will be awhile. I'm guessing most of the 4K titles will be more recent titles, but I wouldn't be surprised for some classics like MARATHON MAN as well. I'm not sure if any has even asked the KLI what decades the 4k's are from?

Really hoping at some point for a proper blu ray (or 4K) release of The Battle of Britain. MGM has the movie and Fox released the bare bones blu ray.

Wow! I've been waiting for this film too!

August is quickly becoming a huge month for new releases. (Unobstructed View hasn't added any August KL titles for pre-order yet. I check regularly though.)

Me too jd ! I was hoping KL would release a New Remaster of this 1969 War favorite of mine with a Great cast. A 4K UHD would be Great !

"Slipcase" was how they referred to it in the Twitter thread of May 17 so that's why my emphasis on the word.

I've only had the 4K player for a couple of months and these films are my first purchase in that format. Back in 1980, I bought a VHS recorder just to tape all three which were airing uncut on a local station. I've owned them in every format but laserdisc. A part of my life since 1967.

Another title that I'm going to buy in August? No joke, I don't think there have ever been this many titles I'm going to buy in a single month from Kino.

Plus the 43 unknown Paramount titles and 16 potential upgrades? Not to mention Gaumont deal and who knows what else from the MGM, Universal, and Sony deals? It's pretty much insane and I don't think any label can honestly compete with this line up.
