I don't know how their deal is set up but it's not like Heat is even a "Disney movie", they're just the home video distributor at the present time.
I dunno, but if Regency have enough pull, they should deliver unto us a UHD of Once Upon a Time in America.

I just hope Disney releases more things in the future like The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and their animated classics

Right, but least they have excellent Blu-rays. Just like some of the DMC titles. It could be a lot worse.

No, because the scan was completed before the acquisition, like with the others. Disney doesn't care. They don't spend their own money restoring Fox movies.

I don't know about Home Alone 2, when that one was completed.

Seeing more Fox catalog titles on UHD is great, but imagine how this'll look squeezed onto a BD-66

Visual aids are a nice touch at Disney.

Pretty sure they both said no more than once, as they kept announcing stuff like Speed and pirates and Unbreakable and Heat and Roger Rabbit and Home Alone...

Goodfellas has one of the very best 4K UHD discs I have seen. It is basically like watching a print. Beautiful grain. Will be happy if Heat 4K is of anything like a similar quality on disc.

Regency Enterprises owns it, Disney is the current distributor of the Regency catalog via the acquisition of FOX.

I know this won't be fixed, but I always identified this movie as a Warner Bros. release. On the Director's Definitive Edition Blu-ray the WB logo was removed from the beginning of the movie. It's a minor gripe, but nonetheless one that bugs my OCD just right (or wrong, haha).
