The neighbor to the right of me had her TV stop working a couple of days ago. She bought a new one yesterday and after setting it up she put the old TV in the box and sealed it back up and put it on her porch. Sure enough, someone stole it off her porch. She got the entire thing on camera, I wonder what the thief is going to think once they plug that thing in?

Probably think that they delivered this person a defective tv that he/she stole. Which then makes them think they can return it for a brand new tv.

well every since last Friday trying to figure out why despite new hard drive fan and power supply fresh reinstall windows 10 I install powerchute but for some odd reason instead of getting notify apc battery is running when power about ready to go out and go out it shuts down computer instead resuming back

so chatted with apc few times yesterday they say battery might be dead on my 900 m 7 years old never got batteries replace

I still don't know why when came back home on 29th turn on monitor no signal and then I press power button off and on had no reboot hard drive wasn't in bio

again wasn't home that weekend so not sure there was a power outrage jacked up my apc backup battery or what despite powerchute saying 100 percent charge

anyways back to story I was just going to like pay 48.10 battery replacement amazon because didn't want to buy new ups back up battery

apc women saw everything in chat insisted going to send me ups battery backup no warranty thus if died it I have to get new one

umm I didn't write it down but when call back today I was little complex since it's different despite women say similar



I never own a pro before I always get apc battery back up ups

there was a 2nd option similar to my 900 m which is lower woman claim 1100m2 is better than 900 this is just so new to me not a fan of change



I think old hard drive bios ac power I had it on I guess I need to go bio change ac power last stand to on

this is just an experiment if battery did somehow got fried that weekend or sometime after I turn off monitor sun when came home no signal monitor because I don't turn off computer just turn on monitor

then saw that dreaded no boot issues hard drive died because if it did storm and me turn on monitor If that error no signal didn't come up and I saw desktop then I would had resume computer but couldn't because no signal monitor

I hope think new battery backup<-the 1st pic after I turn on ac power in bios and I guess uninstall reinstall powerchute that when power about ready to go off or when go off and come back on I get notify power chute apc battery backup is running and it resumes back hibernate instead shut down computer

I have two laptops running Windows 10 and when both run low on battery, they automatically power down/hibernate/sleep (I have no clue) without harming the hard drives.

You might have had a program running which prevented the laptop from powering down when it ran low on battery which may have caused your already dying hard drive to kick the bucket. You did say you heard a noise for a while before this happened so it is possible it was just time for your hard drive to fail.

You have a new drive now and a fresh installation of Windows 10 so your problems are likely resolved.

I got desktop aspire computer tc 780 no laptop yeah trying to get it back to not shut down computer when power is about ready to go off and when does go off it will come back resume hibernate that is why got power chute it should notify you also that battery backup is running everything was working just fine before after I turn off monitor on 27th left went down brother house spend night that night sat and came back home sun try to turn on monitor and no signal then I was idiot pores power off and on hard drive giving me that sorry no boot mess hard drive basically died

it does a self test but usually it will notify ups running battery back up besides when power about ready to go off something isn't right

now yes I did in fact turn on ac power I once again turn off power in room and turn back on sorry computer shuts down

again I don't know what I did early mon morning but I had 1 thing plug up apc battery backup now when green light was on I plug it back in I notice new drive install<-apc and I did get notify powerchute saying apc running backup battery<-1st time happen I thought was fixed wasn't right after that I did same thing still shuts down computer

I even unplug same cord plug it back that time no notification new device nor that battery backup running

Aaaand your response has shown I am an idiot. I don't know why I kept thinking you said you had a laptop. Not once did you ever say you did and I am wrong and I apologize.

You mentioned your current APC battery backup is seven years old. That is definitely a long time and battery degradation can happen which is probably why it appears to not be able to stay on even when it says 100% charged.

Hopefully the new one APC is sending you works out better for you.

Agree APC's while good don't last forever. Might be time to get a new one maybe.

my brother mad I talk to apc about this I actually went in chat a few times mon then when a women talk to me on phone she saw all what was taken place problems I had saying that issue might be battery died because again I have no clue what happen after I left home turn off monitor on 27th everything was working great

then something odd happen couldn't turn on monitor no signal since I don't turn off computer maybe was bad idea turn off and on hard drive

I would describe how I feel today being similar to how I feel during the end stages of a cold. Symptom onset was Thursday, felt the worst Thursday-Sunday, felt better Monday and Tuesday. Feel better than that today, fingers crossed that I will test negative today and work will let me return early.

Thanks, I changed my mind on the test. Figure I'll test positive for awhile even if it's gone, so probably best to wait to go back to work till Friday. Can always venture out at least and get things done, as long as I wear a mask. Considering going out for dinner and a movie today.

There's a porch pirate epidemic right now. Funny thing is people don't even know what they're stealing. They could be walking away with dog food, a pair of socks or someone's meds - practically nothing they can hock or use themselves. Well, socks might work but, still, they're just socks.

You can test positive for a good while after you've had it (3 months, I think) even if you aren't sick anymore. When I had it back in January/February, my boss wanted me to stay home until I had a negative test result. They relented once they learned you can still test positive months after you have had it.

DOH! My computer monitor kept turning off and on so I spent the last two hours trying to find out what might be causing it. I finally looked at the power strip and noticed it was barely plugged in.

so i remember before hard drive died i used to have java install firefox when got my new hard drive back fresh install windows 10 when i i go into plug in i don't see it in there despite firefox is install

does firefox not have java anymore? i had try to install java but that doesn't help

do i have to install older firefox to get java back then update new version or what
